2 hairdryers later did not work. I redirected staff to the last room I stayed in to exchange.

No proper coffee machine on the room.
We had a very pleasant stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel Umhlanga. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, from check-in to security and housekeeping, which made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and we would happily return.
Room service food was rather disappointing considering the price tag. We normally don't use room service but we were both quite ill and had no other option.

It is one of my favorite places to stay. Partial seaviews. Clean. Great wifi. Staff friendly. Central hub of fun.
The owners tend to personalise items that are not radisson brand. Their lotions & utensits they use are below radisson std. The lotion in particular is made of cheap cheap whatever is inside it. Horrid.... We had a pizza that had curry in it. Was terrible. Who puts curry & breyani spices into a pizza. Honesty, pls keep this place on international std and keep all breyani spices on curries NOT western dishes! Not everyone wants east cuisine in DBN!
Very good service on our check-in, Great service by the restaurant staff. We only had breakfast meals at the hotel but they were very good with quite good variety. Ordered a burger from room service one of the nights, not great, I would give it a miss. The rooms are comfortable, bathroom was quite snug.
The checkout process was quite lack lustre. Firstly, checkout is at midday but when we got back from breakfast just after 11, we were locked out of our room and had to go all the way downstairs to get the keys activated again. There were a number of us who experienced this so hoping it was just a glitch in the system for that day.
Upon leaving, there was no real interest in us. I even asked if there was anything we needed to settle or confirm and we got a very disinterested response at the reception desk.

I was very impressed with the staff from the reception all the way up as everyone made us feel so welcome. Lovely rooms and well maintained and very clean. The only down side the restaurant meals at night way to expensive and that's why ate outside hotel in the evenings, only had one meal at the Firelake restaurant in the evening.
Overnight stay was relaxing and the views were amazing. The room was spacious and comfortable. Room was decorated beautifully and the bubbly was nice and chilled.
We had a beautiful view from our sea view room. Very comfortable bed.
