The rooms were dirty, small and all the windows were shaded/painted from outside..no view..the curtains were broken, carpets dirty and food was bad...requested room cleaning at 8am, wasn't done till 3pm..we were made to sit outside till beds were made...no change of towels or teabag provided...I have stayed in katra many times..this one was the worst hotel to stay in...I don't understand why the views from the rooms to outside were blocked and all glass windows painted from outside...BAD

Great stay! Will definitely stay again
Pros:

The staff was very helpful, they arranged for the pickup and drop to airport and even to vaishno devi. The breakfast spread was great as well.

Book this place if no other property is available !
Pros:

Location of the property is reasonable. Right on the main road and just 5 minutes drive to Banganga. They have a free pickup and drop shuttle service. Staff was polite.

Cons:

It's an old property trying to pass off as a new one but fails terribly at it.
Food was TERRIBLE. The cloth in the bread baskets were STINKING!. Cleanliness & hygiene needs to be taken care of urgently.
Though the driver of the pickup/drop service was polite and helpful, we later realized that he took advantage of our 'first time' visit and near zero knowledge to make us purchase unnecessary articles at exorbitant prices from a shop of his choice.
Though the TV was a 'Smart TV', it could not be connected to their Wi-Fi and the Tatasky boxes provided in the rooms did not work.
Bathrooms were ok.
Overall, I suggest to look at other properties before going for this one.
