Great overnight stay
Pros:

Very old character property in the centre of Halesworth, very friendly helpful staff. Large room, great breakfast. Wish we’d had dinner there.

Great place to eat but accommodation needs attention.
Pros:

Excellent evening meal and cooked breakfast. Menu choices were limited. Tyler is a great chef.
Tyler the owner was very friendly and helpful. He clearly needs help with this big property to meet the staying guests reasonable expectations.

Cons:

General state of cleanliness. Untidy, not vacuumed carpets on stairs and dining rooms. Dusty and sticky surfaces on furniture in the bedroom. The owner pointed out the broken toilet seat and water marks on the ceiling in the bedroom.
Intererior plants were dead and needed to be removed. Outside areas and common areas were untidy and uncared for.
No fresh fruit, yoghurt, pastries, cereals etc, which was disappointing for the price of stay.

Pros:

Had a short stay at this hotel. Very disappointing. first sign was when we arrived and there was no one there. Doors were shut and a note to phone stuck to the doors. Were told to use side entrance past smelly bins and find our room. Room was large with a nice bathroom but all needed a bit of TLC. The breakfast was small and offered no cereals or fruit just cooked food. (did get some cornflakes on request) whilst other items were not available The garden was overgrown and unusable. There was no night staff and the side entrance was left unlocked. This is definitely not a boutique hotel just a
hotel in decline. Pity it could be so much better.

Pros:

Very comfortable and spacious room in a lovingly restored historical building in the town's square. The owner is very friendly and was very quick and professional in his response to the small issue we had on arrival. Breakfast was delicious.

Exceptional
Pros:

A touch of luxury and calm on the Suffolk coast with an arty touch and sumptuous dining. A feast for the senses with a wonderful welcome. We will be back soon!

Pros:

This is a hotel thats in the making. Our room though clean and perfectly adequate overlooked the garden where pople sat but there were no nets or screens. Half window nets would make it possible to shower without embarasement Breakfast great. Coffee in room was out of date. No hooks for coats. Garden needs major work.A little pricy until things get sorted. Lovely owners and family. Things will be OK!

A pleasant hotel in central town location. We were made very welcome.
Pros:

Interesting old building in central location. Quiet at night. Excellent breakfasts. Friendly host. Good parking.

Cons:

The bath in our room although large had sides that are too steep for those of mature years. The shower was fine.
