Very clean, welcoming and great area
The pool water was very cold, no other major complaints.
We stayed at this same Tru location 2 times within a week. I slept like a log both times. The staff is super attentive. The 2 stays were because we were transporting family (Garner residents) to and from the airport so this hotel turned out to be the best choice thanks to its proximity to family, and only being 25-30 mins from RDU.
I think the only improvement could be if there was a coffee maker within the room; however, there's always hot coffee readily available 24 x 7 in the lobby so I made use of that in order to jog my brain in the A.M.

From the moment I walked into the hotel, i knew I was in good hands. The front desk staff of Nancy, Vanessa and Micayla were so awesome and friendly. The knew I was traveling in for a softball tournament and greeted me with a cookie. 😀 Room was ready and clean. The staff continued to check in and make sure things were ok. Will definitely stay here again.
First of all, I am a Hilton Lifetime Diamond member so I have stayed at lots of Hiltons over the years. Tru is a relatively new Hilton brand but I have stayed in a half dozen or so Tru's and this is by far the best of all I have seen. The staff, starting with David at check-in, were incredibly attentive and friendly. Much more so than most hotels I stay in these days. The room was fairly spartan as are all Tru's but it was clean and comfortable, all you need if you are just want a good sleeping room. At breakfast I was struck by the number of staff that were available restocking breakfast items, keeping the coffee urns filled and cleaning up. Very impressive, you just don't see that much anymore - usually it is one or at most two attendants taking care of breakfast, but not here. As a result, it runs very efficiently and cleanly. At breakfast the scrambled eggs were the powdered variety but that is about all you see at any hotels these days except for luxury hotels, so that was not a big deal. The rest of the breakfast was very good with a nice variety of baked goods, cold & hot cereal with all the trimmings and a variety of juices and coffee. And pancakes. Like all Tru hotels this one has a cool pancake making machine that is fun, the kids especially enjoy watching their pancakes being made in this machine. The hotel is a fun place for kids with that pancake machine and two old school foosball tables that the kids were having a blast with when I visited. The hotel itself is tucked back off a main road in Garner, which is a suburb of Raleigh, with nothing much around it. But it is very near one of the largest shopping centers in the area (White Oak) and a very short drive to many good restaurants. It is also very convenient to I-40 if you are driving. Overall, a good VERY good experience. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
