Pros:

Das Hostel punktet vor allem mit seiner exzellenten Lage und den überaus freundlichen sowie hilfsbereiten Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeitern. Der Check-in verläuft angenehm entspannt, und auch bei der Zahlungsart ist man flexibel, da sowohl Barzahlung als auch Karte akzeptiert werden. Positiv überrascht hat mich das geräumige Schließfach: Ein 30-Liter-Rucksack passt hier mühelos hinein, während Wertsachen sicher an der Rezeption verwahrt werden können. Am Bett selbst hat man ebenfalls sehr viel Platz. Praktisch ist zudem die Ausstattung mit Waschmaschine, Trockner, Wasserspender und einer Mini-Küche. Das inkludierte Frühstück, das bis zum Check-out um 11:00 Uhr serviert wird, war mit einem kalten Kaffee und dem Trüffel-Mayo-Eier-Toast für einen kurzen Start in den Tag absolut in Ordnung. Trotz der eisigen Klimaanlage war der Schlaf solide, sofern man mit langer Kleidung, Schlafmaske und Ohrstöpseln ausgerüstet ist.

Cons:

Leider täuschen die stark bearbeiteten Fotos im Internet gewaltig, denn die Unterkunft ist in Realität viel älter und abgenutzter. Schon die Anreise ist gewöhnungsbedürftig: Das Hostel ist schwer zu finden – am besten orientiert man sich an der Hausnummer 257 für Grab – und man betritt das Gebäude durch ein Café sowie ein recht stickiges Treppenhaus. Das Gepäck steht nach der Ankunft recht ungesichert im Raum. Bei Kartenzahlung fällt zudem ein Aufschlag von 3 % an. Die Zimmer und Betten wirken stark abgewohnt mit extrem dünnen Matratzen, wobei vor allem die oberen Betten einen unsicheren Eindruck machen, sodass man wirklich aufpassen muss. Sehr unangenehm ist das veraltete Badezimmer. Da Dusche und Toilette nicht getrennt sind, steht nach dem Duschen alles unter Wasser: Boden, Toilettenpapierhalter und Decke tropfen nach, sodass man zwangsläufig nass wird.

Bubbly hostel with oodles of personality in Chinatown heart
Pros:

Best asset are their staff, who are friendly and go out of their way to be helpful (thank you Mimi, Daniel, Dean). For an inexpensive hostel stay, Atelier is a social hub in the lively centre of Chinatown (5min walk to Maxwell Food Centre), with quirky bunkbeds and decor with personality.

Posizione ottima in Chinatown e vicino alle metro.

Cons:

Non era pulitissimo e anche un po’ malandato.
Dovrebbero anche cambiare gli asciugamani che danno perché sono usati e strausati oltre che piccoli.

Good spot
Pros:

Great location, lots to walk around and see nearby. Hosts were super lovely, helpful and friendly. Dorm rooms were quiet.

Cons:

The shower in the toilet rooms was a little odd, the toilet floor was wet most of the time. The frosted glass walls in the bathroom didn’t offer much privacy.

Wonderful! Cant wait to return!
Pros:

Staff were fantastic! I’ve never had staff remember my name as quickly as they did here, especially in a hostel! Felt like a 5 star hotel! Delicious included breakfast, amazing iced lattes and wonderful location!

Quiet dorms at night and nice strong air conditioning!

Cons:

Perhaps an extra bathroom on each floor would improve line ups, but that’s a small price to pay for everything else this property does wonderfully!
