The whole second floor smelled of backed up sewage, and you can hear every movement from the person above you.

We had a great stay. Hotel was really clean. The room wasn't very big, but it was comfortable. We had no complaints.

We've stayed here before and have had good experiences. This time my main complaint was cleanliness. We could tell the floors were not mopped and some tables hadn't been wiped down. Also, the room was very damp feeling so the sheets almost felt wet. Ultimately a good place to stay and a great value.

I wish there was a microwave in the room

Rude staff third shift employee. Very disrespectful and it’s been 5 days since I left no deposit returned yet. They also hold 100 that they yet to release back to my card.

All the amenities, room was small, fresh paint - updates stay was good

Front desk lady was super trying. Hotel is obviously under staffed. Floors were dirty. One of our bedspreads was dirty. With everything white, it is easy to notice. Good note, We did not find any bugs, just really dirty floors.

Breakfast had several hot grab and go sandwiches and egg bites in addition to fruit, yogurt and cereal.

The floors were not clean. My kid's feet were black when walking around on it. Smelled funky. But felt fine and safe. There was a group of teenagers playing ding dong ditch when we were there but they only did it once. Thankfully

Ice machine broken. Pool closed. Breakfast was blah. Room was however extremelly clean.

The whole second floor smelled like a toilet. It was disgusting. It was very warm in the hall so as the night went on and it be came warmer the smell got worse. I went down to check out what was going on. They said it was the carpet and offered to change our room. At this point it’s 11 and my elderly mom was already in bed. So we didn’t want to move. When my daughter and myself finally came back into the room we noticed the door seal left a big gap and the area where you walked into the room and next to the bathroom smelled like the hall too. The gap also let light in from the hallway right into our eyes as we were trying to sleep.
The breakfast was just frozen sandwiches warmed up, barely cold yogurt and a couple of fruits. Not that enticing.
It’s too bad the smell was so awful. The room/hotel was clean.

This was my second stay at the Avid Hotel. I chose it again because of its good location, ample parking, and hospitality. This trip was a ‘Girls Outing’. I want to specifically give a shout-out to Goldie, who I think is the hotel manager. At check-in, she was kind enough to ensure we all had rooms on the same floor. Her customer service and attention to every detail were outstanding. I also thank Goldie for her patience and problem-solving when one of the girls requested a room change. And I appreciate the 24hr fitness center. I will stay at the Avid Hotel whenever I visit Ft Wayne, and I highly recommend it to others.
