Pros:

When I say the owners of this establishment make you feel like your home it’s a MUST STAY I will definitely be back because it’s just that great. I wud say it’s a hidden gem of Costa Rica nestled not too far from everything but not too close either the morning coffee delivery and the breakfast each morning make this place even that much better I can’t say enough good things about The Promise 😉

This property and the cabana were stunning. Everything was perfect. A lovely welcome drink and overview of property and area with Jari awaited us upon check in. Beautiful pool, spotless room with no detail overlooked, including eye masks and ear plugs, fresh pot of coffee delivered every morning, followed by great breakfasts and chats with Selva and the team. A truly relaxing stay. I hope to be able to return to this little oasis one day.

Es war ein Traum! Das Personal ist Zucker! So etwas herzliches, freundliches, hilfsbereites und kompetentes haben wir selten erlebt! Das Frühstück ist der Wahnsinn - tolle Auswahl, regional, frisch und überaus lecker! Auch die Zimmer sind toll - stilvoll, sauber, modern, groß genug um auch alle Koffer unterzubringen und gut ausgestattet. Wir hatten rundum eine wunderschöne Zeit im La Prometida Hotel! :)

We stayed in the Puerto Viejo area for 10 days. Our anniversary coincided with our trip. For our anniversary we stayed two nights at La Prometida Hotel. It was a highlight of our trip. We stayed in the Cambria Suite. It was luxurious , spacious and comfortable. The morning coffee delivered to our room was a treat, and allowed for an easy start to our morning. The breakfasts are amazing (especially the french toast). The owners live on the property, and were wonderful to chat with. Selva was an amazing host. Caring, fun and responsive. We couldn't have foreseen how much we would enjoy this part of our trip! We HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone looking for comfort, quiet and a little pampering.

The property exceeded expectations, the staff was attentive and friendly. The Cambria suite was exactly what i wanted, they even leave a tray with tea and/or coffee outside your door every morning before breakfast. The peace and stillness i found while staying there was what my mind and body needed. I will definitely stay there again and strongly recommend La Prometida to friends and family.

Nice hotel with good breakfast. The staff was friendly. Good parking possibilities.

The only negative was that they did not serve any food (except breakfast) and that the roof made a lot of noise when it was raining (there are some kind of plastic protection on the roof of the room which make the rain sound a lot, hard to sleep without earplugs).

Great place, even better people
Pros:

The room was great, the breakfast was great, the massage was one of the best my wife has ever had, and the location was perfect. But what really made it special were the hosts. They were welcoming and caring, and were there every morning to see how we were doing and to give recommendations on what to do or where to go. For my wife's birthday, they left card, flowers, balloons, and even a rum and coke kit in our room.
The facilities are beautiful, but they made it exceptional.

La Prometida was perfect! I can’t say enough nice things about this place. My husband and I stayed with our two adult children (in their 20s) at cottage one for 5 days.The cottage is charming, comfortable and clean. The lovely large screened-in patio was great for us all to gather in and if it was very hot, the indoor sitting area and kitchen cooled down very quickly with the ac on. The patio is surrounded by beautiful landscaping and in the mornings the birds sang while we drank coffee (they deliver every morning - so nice!) The breakfasts are delicious and also were brought to our cottage on the mornings when we requested that. The owners pay attention to every detail and made every effort to make our stay special. The staff is so nice and so helpful. We asked for many suggestions for activities and restaurants. Andi, Francisco and Selva were amazing and always gave us great connections for setting things up like snorkeling.
La Prometida is a very special place and I am so happy we found it.

Pros:

La prometida was by far our best hotel experience in Costa Rica, and the owners and staff had a lot to do with it.
The rooms/bungalows are very bright, spacious and very well decorated with a natural touch. The terrace was our favorite spot to read or relax while enjoying the sounds of nature.
The pool / common area was extremely clean (as was the room), and again, decorated with great style. You can see the owners and staff pay a lot of attention to the little details what make the hotel quite unique, based on our experience.
The breakfast was very good, with different options to choose from the menu, accompanied by mixed fruits, juice, and coffee.
Furthermore, the staff was very kind and helpful, ensuring our stay was outstanding.
To top it all off, they provide freshly made coffee at your doorstep every morning.

We are beyond grateful with the owners and staff for our experience at La Prometida. We couldn’t have chosen a better hotel to celebrate our recent engagement.

Best spot in the area
Pros:

This was our favorite stay our whole trip! Amazing breakfast and the host are full of information for local things to do. Nice short walk to the beach and nice pool to relax in. Would stay again and recommend to friends.

La prometida hotel was wonderful! The hotel is cozy but beautiful! The staff is amazing every day you receive freshly coffee or tea to your bedroom before breakfast; so you can enjoyed the views! The owner Francisco is great! Check out this place you will love it !
