Pros:

The location was good, close to crater lake and on the river. There is a small seating/dining area with a BBQ and a single burner for outdoor cooking. Microwave only in the room. Host family was very friendly.

Pros:

The hotel is in a great location for people coming to visit the Crater Lake National Park. There is a nice restaurant right behind the hotel which is open till late. So guests don't need to drive around to find food or drinks.

Cons:

The hotel doesn't serve breakfast. So, its quite pricey just for the room. The AC didn't work. The staff is not available from 8 PM in the evening until 3 PM the next day. So basically, if you check-in in the evening, and something isn't working, you are on your own. Also, our room had extremely high levels of room freshener. It was quite headache inducing.

Cons:

The bathroom and a shower are tiny. The shower head needs to be replaced and the mat in the shower needs to throw away.

Sunrise at the private back balcony
Pros:

The location is very accessible, just along the freeway and near a restaurant, a little gift shop, and a mini grocery. The room has its own porch and back balcony with a great view of the river. The owner was very warm and accommodating!

Cons:

The private back balcony was right across from a patio open for the rest of the lodging guests. I was hoping to spend a quiet evening hanging out on the private balcony or opening the sliding door to let the cool night breeze in, but I felt awkward with other guests gathering on the other patio. I did, however, make it up during the sunrise. It was a lovely, memorable, peaceful morning!
