Rooms: 5/5 - the king room suite was amazing. The sea views, the space, balcony and bath were superb. Truly amazing and comfortable.
The Park Royal definitely doesnt live up to a 5* reputation and lacked in quite a few areas. This seemed to be the opinion of most people we spoke to about the Park Royal.
Service 2/5 - The service was just slow here. It's the hotel where you have to do it almost by yourself. Tea /coffee, go and get it,a glass of water at breakfast, you go and get it, need a waiter at the pool… You have to get up and go find one. It's like they only had one person at each area. Everything just took a long time to do here. The only outstanding are of service was with the gentlemen that great you when you arrive and help you with your bags… These guys were fabulous!
Drinks: 1/5.
The drinks were terrible. Truly bad. The coffee at breakfast wasn’t good at all (even though it comes from a machine).
The cocktails were just as bad and possible some of the worst drinks we had in Malaysia. Every staff member here is trained to make cocktails, therefore they dont have dedicated staff. What this leads to is inconsistency and poor quality. The pina coladas were the worst we ever had, same as the mojitos and any other drink we ordered. We ensured we ordered from different people to see if it was a one-off, but sometimes the drinks got worse. We got to the point where we stopped ordering cocktails and drinks at this hotel and we went elsewhere. My suggestion… Have dedicated and trained staff behind the bar who can make the drinks on the menu AND make bespoke drinks.
Dining: 2/5
The food at breakfast was very basic and standard. The selection was ok but there was nothing amazing. The bread had too much sugar in it, making it sweet for toast and most of it just seemed unappetizing.
The dining room for breakfast was the complete opposite could be compared to a school canteen dressed up. Something you would find at a low-budget hotel. Not really inviting, plain and
the view, facilities and overall ambience
It’s so family friendly
Kids friendly
Has lots of near local shops and cafes
The resort has so lovely details that has sooo much privacy and the ocean view rooms are spectacular
The pool , the beach, the breakfast , the kids club and the roooooms one more time are just lovely 🤍
The location and private beach. I booked deluxe king room, very spacious and clean. I specifically live the bathroom which also has bathtub and rain shower! Its located within walkable distance to cenang town. The beach itself is very clean and well maintained. The breakfast buffet offer variety of options and very delicious. The staffs- ALL OF THEM are very professional, friendly and helpful and always willing to help out with any queries. love my stay!
Todo increíble, uno de los mejores hoteles en los que he estado y he ido a hoteles muy buenos. Impresionante!
staffs were wonderful. very friendly and helpful. breakfast spread was really nice. pool was really nice and fun... good location.
walls too thin, can hear everything including the cleaning and moving of furniture and music from next room. cleaning not so good, still found hair all over the place after housekeeping
مكان ممتع للعائلة والاطفال
Staffs were very helpful. Room was great.
Inside the lift is feeling hot and stifling. This made me feel trapped and suffocated. There is no air- conditioner at all. All the pillows have a bad smell.
Had an enjoyable stay at PARKROYAL Langkawi Resort. The location was excellent — conveniently situated within walking distance to minimarts, spas, restaurants, and cafés, while also being only about 20 minutes from the airport.
The hotel room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast spread offered a good variety with quality options each morning. Overall, the service from the hotel staff was friendly and welcoming, but I would especially like to give a shoutout to Khairul, who truly stood out during my stay. He proactively engaged with me, recommended nearby restaurants, and consistently greeted guests with warmth and sincerity.
What made his service particularly memorable was how genuine it felt. During my trip, I experienced a few moments of lower-than-expected service elsewhere in Langkawi, so small gestures of kindness and attentiveness from staff like Khairul genuinely made a difference and brightened my stay.
Overall, a pleasant and comfortable stay, and I would happily return again.
One area that could have been handled better was during a rainy day when the TV connection went down. Since my family ended up staying in the room for most of the afternoon, it was a little disappointing not being able to use the television during that time.
The staff did apologise, and I understand that weather-related issues can sometimes be beyond the hotel’s control. However, it would have been appreciated if there had been a more proactive service recovery gesture — for example, offering a small in-room dining discount or complimentary refreshment to make the situation a little more comfortable for guests affected.
