Hôtel sympa dans un lieu historique! au pied de la butte du Lion. Restaurant à viande très bon! En revanche, la literie n était pas bonne et l isolation phonique moyenne.

The bedroom was very small - could barely get around the bed to the toilet !.And although the decor in the bedroom was ok , and the bed & linen were fine,the corridors, and outside etc were looking a bit shabby
Breakfast was very poor for the 15 euros they changed each.
Wifi was good & nice to be able to watch Amazon
Very convenient for the Waterloo museum and plenty of private parking.

Jag var inte uppmärksam på att vi hade betalat rummet i förväg. Betalade en gång till. Påpekade detta på morgonen vid utcheckningen. Den personen som var i receptionen kunde inte betala tillbaka utan Patron måste göra detta. Inga problem hen skulle ordna detta med Patron. Har nu gått 10 dagar och ingen återbetalning. Suck.

Yes, it sounds cool to stay on the Waterloo Battlefield, but it's really not. You are in the middle of actively farmed fields. The Belgians did not really preserve the battlefield at all, so you are just out in the middle of nowhere and stuck. If you don't drive, you are double stuck.

The rooms are busted up and extremely tired. The restaurant in the hotel is quaint in that oh this is a completely amateur affair but the people are nice kind of way. The breakfast is an absolute robbery, but there are zero other choices. Just stay in Brussels and head out in the morning and your life will be much better.

Pros:

You cant get any closer to the Waterloo battlefield. Just look out the window of your room as this hotel is located on the a tual battlefield. Highly recommended.
