Kaliruha Hotel

I arranged a tour of Türkiye for my entire family, including my elderly parents, with Göbekli Tepe as our final destination. With such a large group, language barriers, and mobility concerns, I was a little nervous about how everything would come together. From the moment I booked our stay, however, Mr. Barış went above and beyond to make us feel at ease. He helpfully connected me with local services that were a perfect fit for our needs, and a few days before our arrival, he thoughtfully sent additional information that made our stay even easier and put my remaining worries to rest.

Because the hotel is nestled in a historic area with streets too narrow for vehicles, we arranged to meet at the nearest accessible corner. Mr. Barış personally met us there and led us to the hotel. That little journey through the historic streets added to the magic and mystique of the experience!

When our entire unruly mob descended upon his hotel, he welcomed us like family. He had maps in English ready for us and patiently explained how easy it would be to explore the archaeological sites, local points of interest, and wonderful dining options just around the corner. He then gave us a tour of the historic hotel and allowed us to choose our rooms so we could gather together as a family in the courtyard.

The hotel itself is beautiful, especially if you appreciate history, architecture, and the charm of old stone buildings. We were also delighted by the generous selection of delicious breakfast options, which gave us all the energy we needed for a full day of sightseeing.

What truly made our stay special, though, was Mr. Barış’s kindness, thoughtfulness, and genuine hospitality. He anticipated our needs, made traveling with a large, multigenerational family feel effortless, and helped turn what could have been a stressful experience into a wonderful memory.

If you're planning to visit Göbekli Tepe, I cannot recommend staying here highly enough.

Fantastic, helpful staff. Our flight was forced to land in Gaziantep instead of Sanliurfa and we didn't get to the hotel until 1 am. Baris waited for us, and so did the taxi he arranged who had to change location and pick us up at the bus station. The property is stunning as well. Highly recommended!

The hotel is charming, traditional Urfa architecture in the heart of old town and near everything. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel is safe and secure. The staff are friendly and attentive. I cannot say enough good things about our stay here. If I return to Urfa, I will definitely stay here again.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt im Kaliruha Hotel und waren von Anfang an begeistert. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die außergewöhnliche Sauberkeit im gesamten Hotel. Die Zimmer und alle öffentlichen Bereiche waren stets makellos gepflegt, sodass man sich sofort wohlfühlen konnte.
Ein ganz besonderes Lob geht an Barış Bey, der uns mit seiner herzlichen, professionellen und stets hilfsbereiten Art den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht hat. Ebenso möchten wir der jungen Dame beim Frühstück danken. Ihre Freundlichkeit, Aufmerksamkeit und ihr herzliches Lächeln am Morgen haben jeden Tag perfekt beginnen lassen.
Die Betten sind sehr komfortabel, die Zimmer geschmackvoll eingerichtet und das gesamte Hotel überzeugt durch sein stilvolles und gemütliches Ambiente. Auch die Lage ist hervorragend – ruhig, gleichzeitig aber ideal gelegen, um die Umgebung zu erkunden.
Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team für die großartige Gastfreundschaft. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Very friendly staff. Superior service, including personalized advice on places to visit and arranging transportation. Room was excellent and the courtyard was fabulous. Location of the hotel is also excellent. Every attraction are within walking distance.

The property is definitely a treasure. It is a beautiful stone structure of which some parts are hundreds of years old. You will feel like you’re staying in a castle. The hotel staff are extremely accommodating and will quickly communicate with you on WhatsApp in English. Staying in the old city requires parking a short walk from the hotel but it is definitely worth doing. There are really awesome restaurants within a short walk from the hotel.

Everything was excellent! The staff is very helpful, the rooms are spotlessly clean, the beds are comfortable, breakfast is great as is the location.

The hotel is so pretty. Beautiful building tucked away not too far from the centre but you'd never think it. Beautiful courtyard, amazing staff, fantastic breakfast - too much food actually!!!

Vanaf onze aankomst tot het einde van ons verblijf waren wij ontzettend tevreden. Alles was goed geregeld en de service was echt geweldig. Het hotel heeft een prachtige, authentieke sfeer die perfect past bij Şanlıurfa. De kamers zijn zeer schoon en netjes en de belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden zijn allemaal op loopafstand.

Onze gastheer Barış verdient absoluut een speciale vermelding. Hij is ontzettend behulpzaam en heeft ons vooraf al duidelijke uitleg gegeven over Şanlıurfa, wat er allemaal te zien is en welke plekken we zeker moesten bezoeken. Hierdoor konden we onze tijd in de stad optimaal benutten.

Ook het ontbijt is absoluut een aanrader. Het was heerlijk, uitgebreid en met veel zorg bereid.

Het hotel heeft daarnaast goede afspraken met verschillende zaken in de stad. Ze kunnen je bijvoorbeeld helpen met het regelen van een Sıra Gecesi of je adviseren over goede restaurants. Dat vonden wij een groot pluspunt.

Voor ons was parkeren een belangrijk punt. Het hotel heeft op slechts ongeveer 2 minuten lopen een parkeerplaats, wat ideaal is. Vanaf de parkeerplaats loop je door de sfeervolle, smalle straatjes richting het hotel. De omgeving voelde voor ons volledig veilig, ook ’s avonds en ’s nachts.

De binnenplaats van het hotel is bovendien prachtig en heeft vooral ’s avonds een geweldige sfeer. De verlichting, de authentieke stenen muren en de bomen maken het echt bijzonder.

Kortom: absoluut een aanrader wanneer je Şanlıurfa bezoekt. Een prachtig en sfeervol boetiekhotel met schone kamers, een heerlijk ontbijt, een geweldige ligging en vooral een zeer behulpzame gastheer. Wij hebben ons hier echt welkom gevoeld en zouden hier zeker opnieuw verblijven!

We really like our room we had a choice of two and they were both very nice. Baris was an excellent host providing us a lot of information on WhatsApp before we arrived at the property and very good details about how to get to the parking lot. He also provided us with information on a beautiful Turkish restaurant which we enjoyed very much. The property is very pretty with gorgeous courtyards. The breakfast included also had lots of variety. The property was in a great position for exploring the sights. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a great place to stay.

Sehr zentral und zugleich ruhig

Location is inside the old town. Many tourist attractions are within walking distance. Hotel staff is helpful and offered an reasonable currency exchange rate to us.

Location is perfect and parking was close by. Rooms were lovely and staff very helpful.
