Rumorosa, troppo stretta, il condizionatore che gocciola continuamente sul letto, pavimento rotto con mattonelle che si alzano, il climatizzatore che fa un rumore terribile ma non rinfresca la stanza, l’acqua della doccia non esce calda ma a malapena tiepida, lo sciacquone del wc non funziona, le porte degli ascensori non hanno sensori quindi ti si chiudono addosso facendoti male. La stanza non viene pulita in automatico ma deve essere richiesto, così noi abbiamo richiesto di farla pulire e nonostante ci fosse detto che avrebbero proceduto abbiamo dovuto insistere più di tre volte in giornata differenti quindi durante il nostro soggiorno non abbiamo mai avuto la stanza pulita. Telefoniamo alla reception per avere salviette pulite perché non sono mai state sostituite. Il personale sorride ma ti ignora
Ti viene chiesta una cauzione di 1000 pesos Filippini per eventuali danni causati alla camera documentazione da firmare per poi fare il check out e perdere un quarto d’ora perché controllino la stanza e ti restituiscono effettivamente il denaro.

The room and bed is comfortable and Our room view is quite nice at least I can see the road traffic and rain...

The staff is friendly

I'm kind a little disappointed because im not sure if the toilet is clean and water faucet not quite clean also. When we check in no rug and no blower . But, so glad that I email the manager right aways and he or she notice that the room i booked is deluxe. (The blower is waiting for me n the morning) .

For Breakfast foods nothing exciting at all and the place quite small but when I saw on the picture of the restaurant is decent size.

I have stayed at Goldberry Suites and Hotel Cebu many times over the years, and it has always been my favorite hotel. It was originally recommended to us by friends, and from our very first stay, we were impressed. The staff were consistently warm, professional, and accommodating. The manager at the time also did an excellent job—not only in training the employees but also in taking the time to personally interact with guests, which made every stay feel welcoming. The rooms were always comfortable, and the food was among the best we've had at a hotel.

Unfortunately, our most recent experience this month was very disappointing.

We held an event at the hotel, and we noticed several maintenance issues that had never been a problem before. The toilets in the function hall frequently would not flush, and there were times when there was no water at all. We also experienced the same issues in our guest room, where both the toilet and shower had water supply problems.

We initially stayed for a week and had another reservation for eight nights after a two-day family trip to Moalboal. Before leaving, we informed the hotel that we would be returning in two days and asked if we could leave our vehicle parked at the hotel during that short period.

When we returned, we were surprised that the manager questioned both us and the employee who had assisted us about why our vehicle had been allowed to remain parked there, despite our prior communication. What made the situation even more upsetting was learning that the staff member who had always gone above and beyond to assist us was given an explanation letter simply for accommodating our request.

As longtime guests, this was disheartening to witness. It gave us the impression that the working environment has become more toxic under the new management. We also noticed that some of the staff were no longer as proactive and attentive as they had been in the past.

Because of these experiences, we decided to cancel our remaining eight-night reservation and transfer to another hotel.

It is truly disappointing because Goldberry Suites and Hotel Cebu was once our go-to hotel whenever we visited Cebu. Sadly, based on our recent experience, I can no longer recommend it, and we have decided not to return. I sincerely hope management takes guest feedback seriously and works to restore the excellent service and positive atmosphere that made this hotel stand out in the past.

Good value place to stay in a reasonably handy area. Bed is comfy.
Pros:

Very comfy bed as other reviews have described and a relatively handy location. Good value for money. Staff are very friendly and really nice.

Cons:

The room was pretty small and they don’t seem to provide services for the room. I was there 3 days no service. Breakfast is very limited.
