This is one of the most amazing little hotels I’ve stayed at. The property has a lot of character, beautiful decorations, friendly staff, and fantastic location close to El Tunco. The food prepared on site was delicious, and the rooms were very spacious, comfortable and tidy. I look forward to staying here again.
We booked Casa Sunzal at the last minute because our first accommodation was closed and canceled our reservation, but we couldn’t have been happier to end up at Casa Sunzal! The staff was so kind and helped us book surfing guides, board rentals, and a trip to Tamanique waterfall! The food was delicious and they were so accommodating. We would definitely stay here again!

Abel and Iris are incredible at providing top tier customer service.
We told the manager about the Jacuzzi and they cleaned it. We would've used the pool if it looked sparkling.
Abel is an amazing chef as well. Iris is very attentive to the room's needs.

Place is hard to find! The pictures posted on on Orbitz are not those actual pictures. Customer service is non existent. Save urself the stress book elsewhere. Call Hotel Directly avoid Orbitz/Expedia…

Over priced, poor service with no one in charge. The location was terrible! It was not on the beach, or near town or in the mountains, Totally isolated. The manager was never there, and left everything to one nice woman with no training. The service was bad. I was offered a “day surf package” for $320!!! The beer and wine were $9. I brought a bottle of wine from outside and was told I had to pay a corkage fee for 2 glasses. The hotel was maybe charming at one time long ago but is now in a steady state of ruin.
Delmy and Daniel were excellent hosts , very friendly and professional, very clean rooms , great food. We’ll be visiting soon again
