The room was on the ground floor so no privacy and also no view.
The hotel location was too isolated so couldn't get to any bars or restaurants without the use of very expensive taxis

My stay at Goldwynn Hotel in Nassau, Bahamas was nothing short of exceptional—truly a five-star experience from start to finish. From the moment you arrive, you're welcomed with warm smiles and a glass of complimentary champagne, setting the tone for a relaxing and luxurious stay.
A special thank you to the incredible front desk team, Latisha and Achantae. They went above and beyond to make sure every detail of our trip was perfect—no request was ever too small. Their attention and care made all the difference. They even helped us arrange an unforgettable private 4-hour boat charter, where we explored some of the Bahamas’ best sights, including Pig Island, snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, and enjoying a floating bar. It was easily one of the highlights of our trip.
The hotel itself is pristine. The rooms are spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. The pool is perfectly heated to 88 degrees, making it ideal for a relaxing swim at any time of day. The food is also top-tier—fresh, flavorful, and consistently high quality.
If you're looking for peace, quiet, and truly outstanding customer service, do not waste your time searching for another hotel. Goldwynn is the place to be. I will absolutely be returning in the near future and already look forward to my next relaxing stay.
Absolutely horrible experience. A vacation I had been looking forward to for over 6 months. When I arrived, after 4 pm, I was told my room was not ready. Another guest was having his room changed because he was so disappointed with it. I believe they provided him my room, asked me to sit at the coffee bar while they got my room ready ( I suspect fixing up the room of the other dissatisfied guest). When I was shown my room I could not believe it. Extremely small, on the ground floor, facing the ocean but with only a hedge in front of you sitting on the tiny balcony. I’ve never been so disappointed with a 5 star hotel. I filed a complaint with Hilton, so far I’ve heard nothing. This room should have been used as a storage room, not a guest room.
Didn’t start off very well. Booked about 8 weeks or so in advance. Emailed using site and asked questions about transportation. No reply. Emailed again. No reply. Called and was able to to have them set up transfers. Arrived and the ride was great. Went to check in at 3:30pm with 4pm guaranteed check in time. Room not ready. We took a tour which was nice and got back to front desk at 3:55. Room not ready. Asked again at 4pm. Room not ready. At 4:15 asks again and magically room was ready. Had to keep asking due to low sense of urgency. Room was nice and spacious- 2bdrm. Everything clean and functioning well. Tried restaurant several times and the food is really good if not outright great. Definitely high level quality. Beach service is spotty but plenty of loungers both at beach and pool. Never had to fight for chairs which is a huge bonus. Had ordered food and snack from their website link to a grocery store. Emailed in advance to front desk to have sent to our room before arrival. No food or snacks were there. Called front desk and they had no record of it. After awhile called back and it was there all along so they brought it up. We had a really nice time overall. Realized I left a pair of shoes in the room once I go home. Emailed with no reply. Forget it. It’s hopeless. Outside of the restaurant, The overall attention to service is a 2 of 5 stars. A true luxury resort is far more attentive and responsive and guests don’t have to badger for basic communication. Is it worth it overall? Maybe?

Perfect hotel for adults, clean and comfortable. Facilities are well maintained. Great location in front of the beach.

Tolle Zimmer, es lohnt sich ein Zimmer mit Terrasse und Meersicht zu nehmen. Gym ist top, Essen gut. Es hat einen Kühlschrank und Küche und man kann sich die lebensmittel via Instagopher ins Hotel liefern lassen - top. Personal war sehr freundlich. Man kann zu Fuss ins Baha Mar laufen wo es Casinos und Restaurants hat.
Leute reservieren am morgen früh bereits Liegen am Pool und am Strand und kommen dann für Stunden nicht. Da müsste das Personal was machen. Die Kaffebar/ Pianobar ist sehr laut und auf unserer Hotelseite hat man das gut gehört. Für Leute die früh ins Bett wollen eher ungünstig.
Let me start by saying the resort itself looks great, beautiful rooms and some nice activities, could have more activities to be honest, location is far from other areas, which is nice if they had more to do.
However, the sales staff were completely unacceptable. The resort claims they aren't with Luxary Lifestyle vacations, yet they had a room set up for us to tour and let us use their meeting room for food and drinks and the sales pitch presentations. The hotel also arranged transport, and the vouchers said Goldwynn, so they are 100% associated.
I’ve attended many sales presentations for membership programs before, and this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. The tactics they used felt extremely misleading and high-pressure.
We were initially promised a “2-week free stay” at their Bahamas location in exchange for attending a sales presentation. After taking the tour and listening to the pitch, we asked for a few minutes to research the company. During that time, the sales staff repeatedly hovered around us, interrupting and discouraging us from reading reviews, claiming they were fake.
They also insisted on holding onto our card at the beginning “to show we were serious,” which made it difficult to leave when we decided we were no longer interested. After we declined the offer, they switched salespeople and kept us there for hours. The tone quickly shifted from friendly to aggressive, even becoming insulting and implying we were making a mistake by not signing up.
After finally leaving, we received what they called a “2-week free voucher,” which turned out to be two separate $1,000 credits. These cannot be combined, require booking a full week to use EACH, and with nightly rates around $550 plus fees, the offer is far less valuable than it was presented.
Overall, this felt very deceptive and not at all transparent. I strongly recommend others be cautious if considering attending one of these presentations.
From what I read we were one of the lucky ones to even get a ride home after we declined.
Had they at least honored the 2 weeks free stay, or even 1 week I would have left a positive review. But they can't even honor their promises after we attended and fulfilled our commitment.
They try to offer a vacation rewards package or something like that and are very intense about it. Dont fall for it.
My daughter and I enjoyed a beautiful 4 night stay at Goldwynn. Our studio was well appointed and had a huge terrace with a view of the ocean and golf course. Dinner at OIA was delicious with wonderful service. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool area and never had difficulty securing lounge chairs, towels or service at the pool. There were some issues with our room (overly hot water in the shower that could not be adjusted, constant running water in the toilet and a malfunctioning coffee maker),staff tried to correct the situation. The room was clean upon arrival, but we did note that housekeeping did not vacuum floors each day.
