I understand we would not receive room service as hotel but at least you should give us a vacuum to do by ourselves. We have 1 baby 1 year old crawling around but the floor was really dusty and we had nothing to help with that.

Unique Vibe so close to Kyoto Station
Pros:

Overall this is an amazingly kept Machiya in the heart of Kyoto. Close to the station, but still inside a quiet neighborhood. I especially loved the Tatami room and sleeping there was so relaxing. Great amenities to get from the check-in station. We had no problems with any loud noises while inside the accommodation.
The staff is attentive and professional. We had a problem with the Wi-fi and were provided with a pocket one immediately. They also answer messages here very fast. Kudos! Would stay here again.

Cons:

For us there were no dealbreakers and did not take away the experience, but consider this feedback at high level:
* No storage space in the room with 2 beds. If 2 people were sleeping there, they would always have to run down to get their stuff or put their suitcase on the bed.
* No 24-hour power outlets (at least we didn’t find any)
* 1 room key for 2 people is inconvenient. Do larger groups also get only 1 key? And to have room key and the power lock on the same chain is especially inconvenient. Maybe hook 2 chains to a carabiner so that guests can separate them.

Un chez-soi au calme à Kyoto
Pros:

- localisation parfaite à deux pas de la gare tout en étant au calme
- le superbe jardin privé est un plus car
Il donne de la profondeur sans vis-à-vis.
- répartition des espaces excellente et qui permet de se poser (nous sommes restés une semaine).
- très bonne acoustique malgré les commentaires lus précédemment (on était dans la maison “bleue”)
- service impeccable pour le renouvellement du linge
- aide administrative efficace pour le transport des bagages
