Staff is friendly, the property is brand new
Room cleaning was done poorly, hair was everywhere from previous people that stayed in the room. Also several people I’ve met had diarrhea from the food including our family
RIU is easily one of the best all-inclusive, adults-only resorts I have ever stayed at. The food was absolutely amazing, the pools and beach were beautiful, and I loved that the bar was open 24 hours. They also went above and beyond by decorating our room to help celebrate my husband’s birthday and our anniversary, which made our stay feel extra special.
The resort taxis charged an outrageous $70 USD for a ride that only cost $15 USD via Uber, and I felt completely taken advantage of by those transportation prices. I was also incredibly disappointed to be charged a fee after throwing up on a towel; it was an illness I had no control over, and it really should have been handled as a courtesy. Finally, because there is no room service and the specialty restaurants close early, the 24-hour snack bar needs more variety.

Everything was great! As soon as we arrived the staff jumped to help us, took us to our room and were there for us. The property itself feels new and highly maintained. The resort has an app with everything you need and the staff was super responsive and friendly.
The food was delicious in all options ( buffet and restaurants) and the pools and beaches were clean and spacious.
Perfect vacation!
Some nights the activities took place in the hotels which required early registration and transportation which was less convenient but not enough to destroy our fun.
