Super friendly staff, cleanliness and ambiance, breakfast options, access from main road and parking facilities.

Cons:

Paid parking. Typical shower head with just ok shower pressure. A hand-held shower with good pressure was missed.

Adequate, but not a choice I would repeat if I had to stay in Galveston

The hotel was fine. The breakfast was very well done. Everything was clean. Staff were friendly and polite.

Cons:

The room above us was very noisy. It kept both of us most of the night. Our fellow travelers had the same problem with their room. They were on the 4th floor and we were on the second floor.

Simple and clean hotel with ocean views and easy access to the beach.
Pros:

Clean and pleasant! Its proximity to the beach and the availability of balconies that have ocean views are what make this a good location. It's a pretty good value - a reasonable price for a great location and decent amenities. It's low-frills, but nails the basics, which is exactly what I wanted.

Cons:

A couple disappointments - parking fees were listed on a sign in the lobby as $10 per night, but was actually billed at $20 per night. One of the elevators was out for half of the stay making waits for the elevator a bit annoying. Hotel bar was closed the entire stay, and not properly noted on eg, Google Maps.
