This hotel was wonderful. Right across the street from Sutter's Fort, if you're interested in that. We were in that area of town because our grandson was in the NICU at Sutter Hospital (he's fine now), and the location couldn't have been better. It's a beautiful, very unique hotel -- the front and lower levels look like an old 19th century hotel, but it has a modern high-rise hotel built above and behind it. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed. We had a junior suite, which means it had two queen beds and a small kitchenette; our daughter's room was even larger, with a bigger kitchen and two separate sleeping areas with their own televisions (and electronic blackout blinds). My only wish is that we had selected this place for our first night in Sacramento -- although the nearby Fort Sutter hotel where we stayed that first night was pretty awesome too. The surrounding neighborhood has been upgraded significantly (you can see the difference on Google street-view if you click the view back a few years). Just stay on the west side of I-80, because the other side of the freeway is still super sketchy. Don't ask what we saw a guy doing in the McDonald's dining area; let's just say you probably shouldn't be watching that sort of stuff on your phone in public.
There really is no parking nearby. You can try to park along the road, but you will be up at the crack of dawn to feed the meters. Valet parking is the only logical option, which they do offer, but it's kind of expensive.
It was close to UC Davis and the staff was great
No hot water
The breakfast restaurant closed at 9am. This is very early. We missed the window. It would be nice if they stayed open longer.
It's a very nice place. The hotel appears to have originated as a church or something, but transformed into a roomy, beautiful place to stay. It's literally right across the street from Sutter's Fort and a 7 minute walk from the hospital.
There wasn't much I didn't like. Overall the area seems very safe (aside from crazy Sacramento drivers), but is on the border with a sketchers area. It was a little expensive, but worth it for the convenience of being so close to the hospital where our brand-new grandson was in the NICU.

Breakfast. French toast, ham, & potatoes were hard & tasted like frozen food.
Location, design, kitchen in rooms, lovely brick design and free breakfast
The location, room and onsite staff were very kind, accommodating and professional...In fact, they are some of the best I have encountered. The breakfast and coffee were good. They had a bar and music, but I didn't go.
The staff were wonderful. However, I realized that I left a jewelry bag with some meaningful silver items. I called twice and am still waiting to hear back. I realize it is my fault for not double checking the room before I left as I was in a rush. Still.... a phone call with final findings would have been professional. UGH!
The rooms were clean and very spacious.
It had a very nice design
The bed sheets were not clean.
