We actually ended up staying in Shongwe Samanzi. Staff were very helpful, and went above and beyond to help us secure our activities. Food was excellent, rooms very comfortable

“Oasis” is an apt description, lovely stay.
Pros:

Very pretty and laid back boutique hotel. We visited during their low season so it was very quiet and we had it mostly to ourselves. Lovely staff, not over-bearing. Room was large, comfortable and clean (no TV but that wasn’t an issue for us). Lovely breakfast selection. Nice that we could avail ourselves of the sister hotel’s lookout tower next door. Overall, a very nice stay. I’ve deducted a point because they didn’t reply to numerous messages about airport pickup. They did arrange one as it turned out, luckily we spotted him as we weren’t expecting him. Please note, this area is totally tourist-focussed and priced accordingly.
