The location on the Quay and old town made a walk round very interesting.
Pros:

Excellent bathroom and shower. Good breakfast with an extensive cooked menu.

Cons:

Tea things in cupboard which I needed to get out and fix up with a lead extension.

Excellent food, friendly and helpful staff, spotlessly clean, nicely located by the harbour, bar has reasonable prices with a friendly team ...........

Cons:

Car parking can be an issue so, if you want to go to this very good hotel, you may have to compromise about car parking. That said, although the hotel's car park was full, we did get one of the permit parking spaces opposite and The Pier issues you a daily permit gratis.

Nice hotel in a small town
Pros:

The location was at the harbor, and a bit of a walk from the train station. Breakfast was good, though I didn't have time to try anything cooked. They got me a taxi to go to the ferry in the morning. Dinner in their restaurant was good.

Pros:

Thought the breakfast choice and quality was superb. Sitting outside for it overlooking the quay made it wearable special. Restaurant service very good too
