Pros:

Rooms were spacious and hotel was on good location.

Cons:

The food and the restaurant was not good. Also the staff asked us to leave the rooms 2 hours earlier than the scheduled check out timing. There was constant construction work happening in multiple rooms resulting in nice and dust. The price was high and the facilities were not up to the mark.

Zero Hospitality and Arrogant Staff.
Pros:

Pathetic experience at The Ramayana Hotel, Ayodhya today. We went for a family dinner, and everything went fine until we stepped outside. When we tried taking photos in front of the hotel, a staff member/guard approached us very aggressively and told us it wasn't allowed. When I told him we were paying guests who just dined inside, he started arguing with us aggressively. A luxury hotel shouldn't treat its customers like this. Incredibly rude behaviour. Highly disappointed!

Pros:

Hotel is excellent for Ayodhaya. It’s well run.
Staff service is too good.
We stayed in Superior room. Room size is okay, bathroom is fine.
Restaurant food was very good

Beware of Direct Booking - Refund Not Processed for Weeks After Cancellation

I booked directly with The Ramayana Hotel for a June 2026 stay and paid the full amount upfront. Due to a change in plans, I cancelled the booking on 26 March.

The hotel acknowledged the cancellation, asked for my bank details, and confirmed that the refund would be processed within a few days.

It has now been several weeks, and no refund has been issued, despite repeated follow‑ups to their reservations and front office emails.

This is not acceptable for a hotel operating in a major pilgrimage destination. I am now filing complaints with the National Consumer Helpline and UP Tourism.

I strongly advise travellers to be cautious when booking directly with this property. Highly unresponsive customer service.

Best to use Booking sites if you have to book here.
