Rare find for the price as it was exceptional. Best staff all round.
Pros:

Outstanding breakfast as you could have the buffet or a selection from the Ala carte menu . The staff were very attentive and friendly - Liza even found out it was my birthday and the staff sang a sound and presented me with a lovely red velvet cake with candle. These little touches make the stay even more special. The view from the restaurant was outstanding and the pool also had this great view.

Service super et de qualité, staff très pro. Le rooftop avec la.piscine et le couchet de soleil vue sur mer est magnifique. L'interieur de l'hôtel est très beau, avec du style. Super buffet petit déjeuner avec tout.
Très bien placé, notamment proche du port pour les bâteaux qui vont sur les îles. Mais vraiment spécial merci au personnel attentionné, souriant !

Just book the hotel - you won’t regret it.
Pros:

After three weeks travelling through Malaysia—staying in a serviced apartment in Kuala Lumpur and an island resort in the Perhentian Islands—I didn’t expect our city hotel to be a highlight. Hyatt Centric Kota Kinabalu exceeded all expectations.
Service was exceptional from arrival. I had booked two rooms and was upgraded to a connecting suite. We were welcomed with a personalised note and complimentary snacks, a thoughtful touch that made us feel valued. Special mention goes to Matlee Ruslan, Assistant Outlet Manager, who consistently went above and beyond throughout our stay.
The hotel is ideally located in the heart of Kota Kinabalu, directly opposite Suria Sabah Shopping Mall, making it perfect for shopping, dining and exploring the waterfront.
After several days of travel, we appreciated the efficient and reasonably priced laundry service. The rooms were modern, well-furnished, spotless and serviced promptly each day.
The buffet breakfast was outstanding—one of the best I’ve experienced—with a wide selection of high-quality local and international dishes. It’s easy to see why the hotel is often fully booked.
The rooftop pool was a great place to unwind, and the adjoining bar and lounge offered a relaxed atmosphere with excellent city views.
Hyatt Centric Kota Kinabalu delivers an excellent balance of luxury, value and genuine hospitality. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again—it will be my first choice on any return visit.

Cons:

The only area for improvement would be pre-stay communication—tightening responsiveness and handling of requests would elevate the experience even further from start to finish.

Pros:

Booking.com rate was twice the standard rate. Poor value for money.

スタッフの皆さんが笑顔でとても気持ちの良い対応をしてくださいました。朝早くのツアー参加で朝食会場に開始時刻よりも早く行ったのにも関わらず、準備できているものから召し上がってくださいと気持ちよく対応して下さいました。ベッドメイキングもツアーに行く前にお願いするのをすっかり忘れていたのに夜遅くの到着にもかかわらず気持ちよくしてくださいました。本当にありがとうございました♪

Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Pros:

1. Front desk / customer service
The front desk and customer service team were exceptionally warm, attentive, helpful, friendly, and resourceful, with special mention to Ms. Diana for her outstanding service.
2. Room and breakfast
The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, and the breakfast selection was enjoyable.

Cons:

Our check-in experience was delayed, as the room was not ready at the standard 3:00pm time and was only available after 4:15pm.
