Perfect until it was time to go to bed
Pros:

Staff were really nice and helpful food was unbelievable room was real comfortable

Cons:

The heating seemed to go off after 9/10pm and not come back on which was not good considering it was snowing also the window had this insufferable whistle as it was hit with the wind which woke me up

Pros:

We’ve been before for my parents wedding in july, we came back as it’s such a beautiful place. The rooms are always clean , beautiful scenery. Staff were so friendly and accommodating we’re planning to go a 3rd time again!!

We contacted the owner to only stay the one night but wasn't able to cancel the second night
Pros:

The room was comfortable tea facilities but no biscuits

Cons:

We were not told the bar was closed for food from 3.00 in the afternoon for our two days

Marvelous place, absolutely nothing not to like
Pros:

Marvelous place. Supercomfy bed and scrupulously clean room. Staff super, fresh cooked breakfast was amazing. .. nothing hat has been sitting under a hotplate for hrs.
Definitely to be recommended
Location great for exploring coast and moors

Fantastic room, brilliant breakfast and amazing location. Highly recommended.
Pros:

Alex was an amazing help. Messaging us to let us know the kitchen was closed so we could get food. Maybe add this information to the website regarding Wednesday. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy. Definitely a banker and we will return. Many thanks 👍👍

Comfy bed, brilliant shower, quirky lay out of accommodation. Excellent cooked breakfast and friendly staff.

Cons:

Despite it's quite remote location and no other facilities in the immediate vicinity and advertising that they do food the kitchen was closed !! I went elsewhere to eat (at least a 10 min drive as 2 other establishments recommended by the bar staff were closed) and on my return I thought I'd grab a drink and sit in the bar for an hour only to be told the bar had just closed (this was before 7pm).

Such a shame as the venue and rooms are gorgeous and the views are beautiful 😍, but the early closure of kitchen and then bar would make me reluctant to stay again.

Cons:

We were staying 2 nights for a wedding, on both occasions the bar and restaurant closed when we got back which was 8 & 10. Breakfast got dropped on us the first morning and gluten free food was played up wrong from the kitchen.

My room had an electrical problem with the lights, when I called the lady said we know about this yet not fixed! My room had all damp from the room above and the window again I had to call for someone to fix and close for me. For £250 extremely disappointing stay

Great view out over Scaling Dam
Pros:

The inn has been modernised throughout. Our room was on the top floor and had two small Velux windows looking out on the side behind the building and away from the road. The room was a decent size, well furnished and clean. We had a cooked breakfast which was good. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The bar area feels very modern. The restaurant area has a good feel. Very easy to get from here to Whitby and down to the coast. It was very quiet - both evenings we were the only people in the bar.

Nothing comes to mind.
