WOW! What an incredible experience. Owner managed and with the upmost of care and attention to the very finest detail. If you can stay here, do! It is an opportunity not to be missed. A truly stunning jungle retreat where you are immersed in both nature and absolute luxury. The 'villas' are beautiful. My room had a huge terrace with seating, double hammock, outdoor shower (second to the main villa shower) and a fantastic view over the pool and surrounding jungle. The cocktails & food were amazing, as was my full body massage. Very comfortable bed and I hope to return again. x

The perfect birthday getaway.
I was looking for a special accommodation for my birth on our trip through Costa Rica.
When I found the Vayu Retreat Villas online, I was stunned by the pictures of the retreat.
Usually pictures of hotels do not show the reality, just the best spots. But here it’s different.
When we arrived we were flashed by this amazing place. Even if the entrance area is not quite finished yet, it does not interfere with your stay in any way.
The amazing pool area, the beautiful restaurant (with delicious food) and the overwhelming rooms are perfect. Everything is matching the style of the hotel.
From the first minute the owners of the hotel gave us a very friendly welcome and took care of our well-being at all times.
As the hotel has not many rooms you can really enjoy the peace and privacy.
We loved every minute of our stay and would highly recommend the hotel for everyone who wants to relax and enjoy the Pura Vida.

My husband and I’s absolute favorite villas in all of the Tres Rios/Uvita area! The rooms were exceptional from the super chill lighting to the beautiful balcony overlooking the pool. We felt so at peace in this villa and we loved the owner Marc because of his attentiveness and warm personality! The dinner also BLEW us away, I’ve never had better steak in my life, HIGHLY recommend! No negatives, we’d love to return one day

This is a little hidden gem. Perfect for the ones who like it quiet , peaceful but modern. Mark the owner is not only interesting but extremely helpful and made our stay special.

We stayed 3 nights and everything was absolutely excellent! The managers Marc and Rafael in particular are incredibly friendly and kind-hearted. We felt super comfortable at all times and more like we were visiting friends - thank you so much for that! Our room/apartment was fantastically beautiful and the breakfast and optional dinner in our own restaurant were also lovingly prepared and super tasty! We are simply thrilled by all the warmth and attention to detail!

We absolutely loved this place. Vayu Retreat is a very charming and quiet mini hotel with only 4 beautiful rooms, a great infinity pool, spacious terrasses to relax and a nice restaurant. The service from Marc is absolutely phenomenal. Everything is done with taste and the place has all the amenities you will need.

This was the most amazing experience. The owners were so great, beautiful breakfast every morning and a paradise setting. Dinners were so wonderful too. More than exceeded our expectations.

Due to our jobs we get to stay in 5 star hotels multiple times throughout the month and one could say, we can truly judge when it comes to comparing and rating hotels.
Vayu Retreat Villas was very special from the second we arrived until the moment we had to leave.
The owners made us feel welcome and treated us like family. They were very attentive and made our stay an outstanding one.
Everyone is really friendly, from cleaning/gardening to kitchen staff. Food was delicious, whether it was for breakfast or dinner.
The suite really met our taste when it comes to design choices.
Their eye for details, providing good coffee, umbrellas and any service you could possibly need before even asking is excellent. Best part was the private terrace overlooking the surrounding nature.
This place is really peaceful and lets you relax from whatever stress you might have had.

This property is a hidden gem. The owner ralphel is so amazing and talented. He prepares the most delicious meals for you and he is just so attentive to your ever need. The villa is so beautiful and clean.I had an amazing week long stay..I highly recommend this villa to anyone visiting Costa Rica.

Vayu was a 2 nights stop for us during our southern cost camping tour. Vayu was everything we expected, beautiful, the shower water pressure was great, the food was great, the staff was friendly and attentive to detail. We definitely recommend this location! Pura Vida
