Friendly staff… ideal for Wednesday football
Pros:

Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating… was across the pond for a Wednesday game. Will be back here again… next time I’ll try enjoy more of their many beers available 🤪

Away fans should give it a miss
Pros:

Nice staff

Cons:

Couldn't control temperature on radiator. Predominantly home fans only in bar before and after the match. Even though we were staying at the hotel my daughter who is 15 couldnt be in the pub after 9pm. If in a hotel bar normally you can stay until closing.

Comfortable beds and a clean bathroom.
Access out of pub hours via the fire escape, but that was no problem.
It suited us fine as we were here to see family who lived nearby, so we had breakfast there

As I said earlier, it's not The Ritz but it was just what we wanted.
Pros:

It was cheap, cheerful and perfect for us. Breakfast is not included but obviously we knew that beforehand so it wasn't an issue. Saturday early evening and until closing the pub below was very lively (rocking) but friendly and when we got into bed at 11 pm we could hardly hear anything

Spotless and comfortable. Staff are helpful and friendly
Pros:

Couldn't fault. En suite room was spotless and comfortable and despite being above a bar there was no noise. Staff were friendly and helpful. You can park across the road in Morrisons, or like I did a couple of streets away outside the permit zone. Room only but there is a Spoons a few doors down if you want breakfast. Excellent base for a visit to Owlerton stadium or Hillsborough. Will definitely stay again next time I visit
