Cool decor, clean, good food (breakfast was delicious)

Cons:

Very poor sleep - noise from drunk patrons outside, curtains did nothing to block light & bed creaked and dipped whenever we moved. Very small room making it hard to move around. Room was also very hot - couldn’t open window due to noise from people outside and rattling windows but a fan was provided which was welcome.

Like someone had really thought about what a couple might want of a hotel room and a short stay.
Pros:

Our room (The Darby) was excellent. We didn't expect to have a small annex as well as the main bedroom so that was a real bonus. The bathroom was gorgeous and the Bramley products were very nice; the Bramley reed diffuser ensured the room smelled lovely. The addition of the Dyson Cool was really appreciated and it was super efficient. Lastly, the breakfast was outstanding. The breakfast room/restaurant is lovely and bright and very well decorated and the food was marvellous - the best French Toast I've ever had!

Cons:

Nothing I can think of to fault this lovely pub/hotel.

Pros:

Gute Lage mitten im Dorf. Privater, wenn auch enger, Parkplatz. Nettes Personal und gutes Restaurant. Gutes Zimmer.

Cons:

Die Bausubstanz ist eher mässig. Die Böden schwingen bei jeden Schritt.

our stay was only one night but the hotel especially the room (George) exceeded our expectations

Excellent!
Pros:

Our room was outstanding with many thoughtful touches including complementary sloe gin, eye mask, ear plugs, room spray and radio playing restful music. The bed was very comfortable, and the beautiful bathroom with a roll-top bath was complete with lovely toiletries.

We enjoyed an excellent dinner and breakfast and would happily return.

Cons:

Nothing, it was faultless.

The location great

Cons:

Have stayed there a number of times in last 3 years but high standards have slipped since last visit 3/4 months ago. Room cold no thermostat mattress very poor- very soft.
Slow service at breakfast and the self service area there seemed lacking no butter for example and poorer selection than in the past.

Pros:

A really great place, we loved the atmosphere. Room was well made up, little small, but perfect. The tasting gin was a great touch. The food in the restaurant was really good. I would definitely stay again

Good location
Pros:

The hotel is in a central location close to shops, restaurants and cafes. Also walks in the area. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was great with a comfy bed, good shower and tea and coffee plus water and a complimentary gin. Good choice at breakfast. Free parking although can get busy. We would definitely return.
