Nice building, well maintained, quality accommodation
Very noisy room facing road. No sleep. Food quality poor
It was nicely decorated and furnished
It want very personal. Check in/out was all online so no human interaction. The staff member who showed me to my room didn’t offer to carry my bag. Pastries ran out on the first breakfast and on the second breakfast there were no plates so I had to use a saucer and there was no teapots or tea laid out. I couldn’t open my window and it was dirty begging the double glazing.
Excellent breakfast. Local produce and well cooked.

My room was at the front and very noisy and to add the bed was very creaky so not the best nights sleep
Lovely boutique chic hotel. Good restaurant and wonderful staff.
On the first evening I dined in the restaurant and had the fish and chips.
You could taste how fresh everything was and could even see the capers in the tartare sauce and taste the fresh peas in the mushy peas which were seasoned perfectly.
Parking on site, clean and comfortable bed, shower worked perfectly and there was a stand alone bath as well.
Didn't need to ask for a fan or ironing board as they were already there.
Oh, and there was complimentary craft sloe gin in the room!

The noise calls by very heavy traffic throughout the night without stop didn’t sleep hardly at all.

Great location, well appointed comfortable room, on site car parking with electric charging, lovely breakfast and good evening meal options. There is also a small quiet room for hotel guests to use if they wish which is nice if you don’t want to sit in your room or the bar.
Service is a bit hit and miss with menus missing and having to ask for things several times
George and Dragon is a large but mediocre pub, with a big restaurant extension at the back. It has a small car park at the back as well. It is right on the high street and very close to the golf club.
Pretty well everything could have been a lot better. There was no marked reception: I had to wait until the barman was available - who pointed me to a weird desk. The room had no air con, no double glazing, and was very noisy, small and cramped. Nothing like the advertised pictures. There was a package "To help you sleep" - with eye covers, and ear plugs: so they saved £1/2m on refurb, and hope that you wont complain because you get a "free" 50p sop. In the summer heat I had expected a sheet on the bed, not a heavy winter duvet. The large overhead shower dripped noisily all night. The whole place has been done by an interior designer about 4 years ago, who probably has never stayed and slept overnight in a hotel. It is now looking a little worn especially on the bar areas.
Breakfast was supposed to be great: the sausage was appalling, bacon was dried shoe soles probably, but the scrambled egg was excellent. Tasted like someone trying to save £3 on the cost of the meal, never mind the quality. The waitress was good, but that doesn't make up for the other issues.
