A Grand Old Hotel but suitably modern inside.
Pros:

Having stayed in.apartments, lodges and caravans with our son, he wanted to stay in a hotel for once. We fancied a night out and a day in the sun, so booked here in Llandudno. A proper grand old building, right on the front, a sea view and nicely.modernised. All public areas are clean, modern and crisp and our room was suitably modernised too. We slept with a lovely sea breeze wafting in and on comfortable clean beds. The Goat restaurant offered beautiful food for evening and breakfast, so what more could we ask?

Cons:

It did not bother us but be aware, like most older hotels in the world, there will be steps along the way. Just ask, and they will be happy to try to avoid these when booking if you have a genuine issue walking. I have a bad leg but managed just fine.... It's only a few steps.

A first class experience
Pros:

Everything we have ever looked for in Llandudno we found here- king size bed, wonderful sea view, close to a lift and a superb car park. All the staff were bright and cheery and totally helpful.

Cons:

Silly things- no bedside lamps or occasional tables. Toilet rolls not perforated and very very narrow. If these were put right this hotel would be out of sight.

Pros:

Did not have breakfast. Went with daughter and granddaughter. Location was ideal with the beach and attractions just across the road.

There was no fridge, which was a big downside.
It was the first time I stayed in a hotel without a fridge.
We arrived with a small child, and there was nowhere in the room to keep the milk cold.

System Error Problems be careful if booking

Nothing didn't get to stay here, nice location though and the reception was nice

Cons:

When I arrived here to check in after driving 5 hours away from home I was met with the fact I did not have a room. There was apparently an error on the system saying there was a room when there wasn't. They tried contacting me, but they rang on a private number and left no voicemail, so a bit unsure how I was able to know who it was and where to ring it back. The lady at the desk was okay, she tried to help the best she could but I did find her attitude to come across a bit like it's my fault. I was unable to find a hotel then as everything was booked and was left with nowhere to stay which ruined my time off. I think in future you need to make sure if you're contacting people it is not on a private number or at least leave a voicemail.

Lovely welcoming hotel in an excellent location
Pros:

The food in The Goat restaurant was excellent. Hotel is a very good location and parking on site was a bonus

Cons:

I think the restaurant / bar was understaffed. However the staff that were there worked extremely hard

Loved it, thankyou Esplanade.
Pros:

Fantastic location, superb view from the room and brilliant staff. Great breakfast at the Goat .

Cons:

It's part of the character of the hotel but even after taking the lift to the third floor you do still have to contend with several short flights of stairs to accesss some rooms. Only a minor gripe!
