Saratoga Hotel Sultanahmet

Wonderful boutique hotel less than a minute walk to the blue mosque and Hagia Sophia. The staff Hayreddin, umit and zohyu were fantastic guy’s and helped me with anything I needed as it was my first time in Istanbul. The ladies in the kitchen were so lovely and always asking if I needed anything else.I highly recommend this hotel

The hotel was absolutely lovely, beautifully kept and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The front of house staff were exceptional and truly made the experience even better with their warmth and professionalism, going out of their way to help us. The location was ideal, making it easy to explore the Sultanahmet area. Would 100% recommend!

A very nice small hotel with kind and attentive staff. I stayed here for 5 days, and will recommend the hotel to others. It was affordable and is incredibly close to the heart of sultahmet - 3 minutes to the blue mosque! Maybe 6 to Haga Sofia? Bus and team connections nearby, though you might prefer to walk to see the fascinating streets.
The hotel is right outside the remaining wall of the Hippodrome - 20 meters away. If you like history this is a big deal, if not it's just a giant ancient stone wall :-D.

Breakfast was great, over twenty things to choose from. I have a milk allergy which always limits me of course (there were mouth watering pastries every day that I couldn't eat) but had no problem putting together a new interesting breakfast everyday.

Cleaning is prompt and good.

I slept in one or the basement room - someone has taken care with the design of the basement room to compensate for the tiny window - the lifting is nicely designed and good. There are signs of wear and tear that have not been taken care of - the bathroom mat was damaged along one side, there was a miss-coloring of the toilet. Personally I like it when things are used and not just thrown away, so I don't mind.

We had a great experience. The staff in particular were very welcoming and helpful, going above and beyond to assist their guests! We had an economy room which was fine. The buffet breakfast was pretty good too!

Saratoga Hotel went above and beyond to welcome us, welcoming us in and helping us navigate any and all questions— the staff is super friendly, professional, and personable and helped us book transport, invited us to a special cistern tour, and even helped us broker a new suitcase deal next door—- now that’s service! The room was clean and well-appointed, quiet and comfortable with a great shower. Breakfast is an impressive spread of tasty offerings and myriad coffee and tea options. The location is wildly great— it’s right off the plaza with the obelisks and the Hagia Sofia. Just wonderful! Highly recommend.

Really enjoyable experience with Hassan and the team at Sultanahmet. Incredible location directly across from the 1800 year old walls of the hippodrome, a short 3 minute walk to the Blue Mosque and about 6 minutes to Hagia Sophia. It felt a very relaxed, safe neighbourhood and the hotel itself was very pleasant. All of the staff went out of their way to ensure I had a good time in Istanbul, giving recommendations for great places and activities I didn’t come across in my own research online. I will stay at this hotel every time I ever go to Istanbul I think.

Great little place close to a million historical sites, including the cistern under the rug shop that you can visit for free, without standing in any line!

Staffs were incredible but the room was very small. The views through the windows were non-existent. The breakfast wasn’t too good. It’s the same breakfast over and over.

Awesome hotel in a great location. Close to many attractions and restaurants. Rooms are small, but clean and very comfortable. Staff are so friendly and helpful, can't wait to go back. Breakfast also was great and delicious. The woman working in the breakfast room is a gem.

This is a very average, small hotel that's not well maintained, even though it is clean and tidy. The breakfast is extremely disappointing and very basic. The little fridge in my room didn't work. The aircon is intermittent.
The staff are friendly and great. The room is small, but clean. I had the room on the ground floor, next to the reception desk ... 5 meters away!!! The disturbance is significant ... so make sure you don't get these rooms!!
