Pros:

Dean and Paul are wonderful hosts and made our stay at the Birchwood extremely comfortable. They also helped us navigate our upcoming trip through inclement weather. The hotel itself is lovely and very thoughtfully constructed. Will definitely stay here next time in Pitlochry.

The property is beautiful with several lovely outdoor spots and close to town. Our room was comfy and quiet and we enjoyed the bar and breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Great stay. Our room was large and cozy, with a comfortable bed. Great room amenities and tasty breakfast. However, we were a bit disappointed because we had booked and prepaid the 5-course tasting menu for diner at the hotel restaurant, which was canceled by the hotel, without any communication to us.

Pros:

We had a fantastic stay at Soarsa 1875. Everything from start to finish was brilliant. A very friendly welcome, excellent cocktails and the food was delicious. It's a great location for walks in the surrounding area and close to the shops in Pitlochr too. We will definitely be staying again!

I’ve been to many high class hotels & restaurants in my life and this hotel was the one I liked the most. It’s classy, beautifully decorated, cosy, awesome cuisine & my dog and I really felt at home!

Pros:

We were initially excited to arrive at the hotel, but our enthusiasm quickly faded when the owner responded abruptly upon hearing about our dinner cancellation at Saorsa. She then informed us that “we wouldn’t find anything worthwhile in town”. Unfortunately, her attitude persisted throughout our two nights. Regrettably our overall experience was disappointing as she didn’t even offer a simple good morning or farewell.

Pros:

Super nice stay at Saorsa in Killiekrankie in an old beautiful house. Decorated in a more modern style than the facade. Served delicious vegan food, which we really enjoyed trying and helped us plan our hiking trip!
