Boxtel El Paso is a minimalist joy!
Pros:

We had to vacate our home due to asbestos, but needed to take care of removing clothing and personal items (which took longer than expected). We have been "camping out" at Boxtel in El Paso, TX for three weeks now. While they offer room servicING, they do not have a restaurant for traditional room service ... but they have a common-use kitchen with a microwave and communal refrigerator (mark your food). We found that an electric skillet from home was sufficient to cook a variety of packaged and home-cooked meals. (I understand that they have a cook-top out for repair.) This hotel reminds me of a hostel, with linen-changing service by request and a friendly, helpful staff. Only down-side is lack of a dresser, so we're living out of suitcases & boxes.

Good but smelly
Pros:

The hotel was good, however they do not have sufficient parking where you can be sure your vehicle is safe. The property has an open kitchen for all guess to share, however guess can cook full meals which can cause bad smells in a property that small.

Bathroom door wouldn’t shut

Pros:

The loft is quite small, but I knew that going in. I chose it because of its quirkiness. It could do with some way of storing clothing. Ideal for a short stopover. Use of a kitchen and free coffee was a bonus

Very bad experience.
Pros:

Very bad management. I had a billing issue with this hotel. They don’t clarify information and charge you regardless of the arrangement you do with your reservation.

Pros:

The two stars are for our friendly concierge. I had two problems with our stay: cleanliness and false description.

When we arrived one of the pillows on our bed looked like it had been used. The pillow case was wrinkled. DH didn’t see anything wrong and jumped into bed, snoring heavily within 2 minutes. I got into bed 15 minutes later.

Pros:

It was serviced by remote staff which was a bit different than what we were accustomed to but other than that it was great hotel and clean.

Pros:

An interesting property. I just needed a place to sleep that was convenient to one of the large hotels on El Paso's downtown plaza. I had the "cinema" room, which means it had a low-end but good-sized flatscreen and two nice recliners, along with double size bunk beds. No windows, dresser or closet, so "box" is a pretty good description. But it was clean, the bathroom was fine, and it has a nice communal kitchen. The single person at the desk is there for limited hours, so entry to the hotel is with a code. While it's only a five-minute walk from the plaza, that walk can be a little unnerving at night.

Pros:

There was no trash can in our room, which made it hard to get our trash thrown away. There was a baseball game which gave us limited parking. It took us over 30 minutes to find a parking space when returned to our room after we had eaten dinner. Other than those two issues we enjoyed our room.
