Historic building in a great location, great welcome but too hot.
Pros:

A lovely welcome and a very interesting historic building in a great location. We were walking the Thames path and it was perfect for our needs. Perfectly clean and comfortable.

Cons:

We visited during the heatwave and it was intolerably hot. Sunshine comes in through the windows and there’s no way of cooling it down. The building is being renovated and is likely to be in much better shape in the future.

Pros:

Staff were very nice. Bed was very nice and I liked the bathroom sink

Cons:

With no parking and being on a busy roundabout it's not the best location and quite expensive for what it was. They did seem to be doing some building work.

Great value with some small drawbacks.
Pros:

Very good value for money. Set in lovely village with lots of nice pubs and such.

Cons:

Steep stairs to get to and from rooms (but was warned of this in advance). Couldn’t check in until 17.00. Again this was warned in a message from the property but I didn’t see it until I was already in Cricklade. Bar was under renovation.

Pros:

Lovely staff 10/10 so friendly and welcoming. Great location. Really flexible about check out too

Cons:

Quite dated. No toilet door which we found super uncomfortable. Pillows weren’t great and we didn’t sleep well at all unfortunately but staff were lovely rooms just need updating. Shower was either too hot or too cold. Room wasn’t very clean but nothing major just dusty

Older travellers
Pros:

Central. Very comfortable bed.

Cons:

Had to ask for change of room. Booked small double, which usually means room size, not bed pushed up against a wall. Also appreciate old building, but shower very small - no place to put shower /shampoo soaps etc. Did not appreciate having to leave via the fire escape in the morning with luggage.
