Akua Ocean View Suites

This was a beautiful property! The plunge pool was delightful in the evening we would relax in it and watch the Macaws fly by. You could hear the howler monkeys in the forest; you are on the side of a mountain. The road into the community is gated and the location is very close to Torculas.

beautiful property and we really enjoyed our stay. However there were ants in the room, bed and around the property that also bite. it was uncomfortable and i left with bug bites. The host was very attentive, responsive and helpful with a problem I had.

This property was AMAZING. View was beautiful. Room was perfect. Host was quick and responsive. Could not ask for a better retreat for our getaway. Worst part was having to leave.

Family of 4 with 2 adults and 2 kids, we stayed for a week. The view from our room was absolutely stunning with beautiful sunsets over the ocean every night. Very quiet property, only sounds were birds, jungle and ocean waves. We really enjoyed having our own private pool and used it every day. The room was very comfortable, and it was nice to have our own kitchenette. We ended up cooking several of our own meals due to not having many choices of restaurants nearby. Would definitely stay here again!

The view! The huge bay window with the view leading to the deck opened up to just a spectacular sight of the ocean that looks like a portrait hanging on the wall. The amenities were quaint and cozy. If you’re looking to just get away to a quiet excluded place I would highly recommend Akua!

Our suite was amazing. We knew we found a gem as soon as we opened the door. The wall of the ocean side of our suite was entirely a glass wall with massive sliding doors which could open the room up to the patio and private pool (which is maybe about 80 degrees F and very well maintained). The view of the ocean and mountains is surreal. You’re more than likely guaranteed a sunset view, and the sun seems to set for a solid three hours. You can see it from every part of the suite. Even the shower. The horizon is so broad that even rain is fascinating to watch come in. The staff is fantastic too. They cleaned our room and even took care of the dishes, all the while being non invasive and respecting our privacy and belongings. Steven and Lisa’s is a 5 minute drive, there’s a few super minis and liquor stores 3 minutes away.

We were impressed with every aspect of our stay. Amazing VIEWS, responsive staff, and comfortable bed made for an amazong stay. We traveled to Manual Antonio national park from here no problem.

Absolutely breathtaking view!! The suite with the side yard, is worth the extra money. You have privacy, and there was iguanas we feed fruit. Not sure if you’re supposed to, but they loved it. We will definitely go back!! If I remember correctly, if you click on Google maps from your Expedia emails it won’t take you directly there but it takes you pretty close. Then we actually had to type in the name if the place in Google maps or Waze to get us there. The driveway is pretty steep, and tricky if someone is coming in or out at the same time, so just beCareful. I did think they had room service, and wanted to do that one morning but you actually have to call the restaurants that are on the list that is given in each room and they deliver. Not a huge biggie, we did Steve’s restaurant every morning, they have a great breakfast! We tried the massage place that’s in the book in the room as well, and they were awesome with great prices!! Everything and everyone was amazing!! I was very pleased!!

We loved our stay at Akua Ocean View Suites. The room was very clean and felt very luxurious. We had our very own plunge pool which always felt peaceful and was wonderful to relax in after a long day. The kitchenette was perfect and had everything we needed.

While the accommodations appeared nice on the surface and the ocean views were beautiful, there were issues that caused us to depart early and find other accommodations. There was no hot water in either the kitchen or bathroom sinks. The shower did not drain properly. Lastly, the rooms were infested with ants when the evening hit. There were so many that I couldn’t sleep.

There are not enough stars to give this property! Beautiful villas, breathtaking view, animals just out our door! We stayed 7 nights in Suite 1, toucans, macaws, kookaburras, iguanas, hummingbirds and a Pizote all viewed from our pool deck. Wonderful indoor shower that could be open to outside, also had an outside shower, private pool with lounge chairs. Very clean, grounds well maintained. Would stay here again happily, honestly it was the best part of our trip!

We just left and already want to return. The plunge pool was amazing. The wildlife- iguanas-toucan-squirrels all made it feel magical. The room was cool- clean and spacious.

Very nice rooms and good value for our 1 night stopover. Enjoyed the sunset. Recommended.

The view is absolutely breathtaking at sunset! The pool just puts it over the top! Absolute gem! Ill definitely be back here!
