The staff was outstanding.
Prices are too high for the rooms. Breakfast wasn’t it.
The hotel was nice and clean, with a wonderful location right next to the beach. But staff service was poor. Unattentive. The staff was not helpful or seemed like they wanted to help. But other than that it was a nice hotel.

A small, boutique type hotel
We had a suite on the 5th flood which was very spacious and comfortable
Small but very adequate breakfast, helpful, friendly staff,walkable distance from the ferry and many food options in the vicinity
We arrived at Hotel d’Melin, exhausted, after a long day travelling from Hoi An to Da Nang, a flight to HCM, then a 3 hour drive from HCM and it was wonderful to be so warmly welcomed by Alex.
Alex upgraded us, gave us a choice of 2 different rooms, I opted for the one with a balcony overlooking the pool and a distant water view.
Thomas was quite often at reception to have a chat, tell us of improvements he was considering implementing at the hotel, we hope all goes to plan as a guest bar would be a great addition.
The room was very quiet, spotless, great bathroom facilities & an extremely comfortable bed.
Beautiful pool, though a bit of shade would be nice.
We were walking distance to the front beach & a lot of bars & restaurants.
Alex was amazing, I think I drove him crazy! He organised our ferry tickets back to HCM, he organised getting our laundry done, he organised the taxi to the ferry terminal. Nothing was a problem for him. Top marks to him!
Complimentary breakfast is included, there was a bit of confusion with the time breakfast ended, but the restaurant staff accommodated us even though we arrived for breakfast shortly after breakfast hours had ended.
We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel d’Melin and were sad to leave.
