I don’t typically leave reviews, but this resort deserves it. The ocean views were stunning, the food was excellent, and the service throughout the resort was outstanding. The rooms, pools, and dining options were all exceptional. It’s also a wonderful place for families—our kids especially enjoyed the gaming station. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable vacation

The room, the service, front beach
Bedbugs…. We were there for 3 nights and luckily we only had one night left and I appreciate that we were moved immediately after we found the bedbugs in the middle of the night because we got woken up by a smoke alarm that was triggered in the building and saw the bedbug crawling on the bed. Staff immediately moved us to a different room and was very attentive. Unfortunately it doesn’t change the fact that there were bedbugs.
The hotel is old. Not look the same as the online pictures, my room wasn’t ready. At 4:30 They changed the room because the room what I reserved wasn’t ready . I didn’t liked that room and I asked them to get ready my room as soon as possible with full ocean view like my reservation . I waited until the 6pm to finally get in the room
Also the strawberries and champagne was scheduled for August 1 between 1pm to 5pm and never arrived
We made this trip for our 25th anniversary to have a wonderful time but unfortunately was the worse place where we stayed.
Se tenía que hacer fila y esperar unos 20 min para entrar al buffet . El colchón ya estaba súper sumido . Muy incómodo .

We arrived around 2pm to join a larger group of friends and family that were in Puerto Vallarta for the weekend. We Tried to check in on the Krystal Grand side but Juan rudely told us that our reservation was only for 1 person and that we needed to go complete our check in on the Hacienda side of the property.
On the Hacienda side the check in person that assisted us called someone to explain that we booked through Expedia and the reservation was intended for 2 people. They allowed it, registered us and told us our room would be ready after 3pm. We returned at 3pm for our keys and when we arrived at our room the AC was not working. It was set at 65 but the room temp was 82. We called maintenance and they sent someone after we called 3 times. The maintenance guy "released some trapped air" and told us to give it about 30 minutes. After 30 minutes we didnt feel an improvement and asked to be switched to another room. First they told us they were fully booked and couldn't accommodate and after expressing our frustration we were assisted by another person that claimed he was going to hook us up with an upgrade. The upgrade was useless to us and all we asked for was the type of room we pre-paid with an AC that works.
After all that they assigned us a room and when we got there they keys didnt work. The administration staff is a nightmare. If it wasn't for the service staff we wouldnt even rate this place a 1 star.
Beach, pool
Tiene algunas áreas un poco descuidadas pero las habitaciones están muy bien. La parte de La Hacienda está excelente.

I would rate my overall stay a 5 out of 10. The property is outdated, the bathroom is the worse I've ever seen in my life, and the food was very average. Sometimes they would have the same food at dinner that they served at lunch. The bathroom was so small that when you sat on the toilet, your head would be two inches from the wall. I was told the property was bought out, and was to be completely renovated in about a year. My stay wasn't the worse place I've ever stayed, but I certainly wouldn't stay there again. The pictures on Hotel.com did it no justice.
Ok hotel
I had an extremely disappointing experience at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, there were issues. They couldn’t find my reservation even though I had a confirmation and it took a long time to sort out. Once I finally got to my room, things only got worse.
There were roaches, the air conditioning didn’t work properly, and rain started leaking into the room, along with water dripping from the ceiling. It was honestly unsafe and completely unacceptable.
I brought up the problems to the staff, but the overall response felt unhelpful and disorganized. It was one issue after another, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Save yourself the stress and book somewhere else.
El lugar en las fotos se ve muy nuevo pero en realidad no lo es, las instalaciones les falta un poco de limpieza, y mantenimiento. El cuarto estaba muy sucio, yo viajé con mi bebé de 10 meses gateando y el piso del cuarto lo tuve que limpiar con una toalla mojada para que el nene pudiera gatear tranquilo, además la limpieza que hacían diario era muy básica, medio tendieron la cama y sacaron la basura. Entiendo que no es la opción más cara pero creo que la limpieza es importante.
Staff was so friendly and helpful
There was a problem with the air conditioning and ceiling fan the first few days. They had to come out 3 or 4 times to fix it. I believe that it was somehow connected to the patio door because after they fixed it, I wasn't able to open the door; therefore, unable to actually sit out on the patio; which was too bad because it was a beautiful view and I was only able to appreciate it with the door closed. There was also an odor in the restroom maybe the first couple of days that seemed to dissipate after that. Otherwise, enjoyed my stay.
The customer service in the buffet restaurant was excellent and the seafood they served at Jalavera restaurant was delicious. That's really the only thing nice about this property.
What I don't like is the room I stayed at, it smells musty, earthy and damp. I know, there's mold in my room. It rained during my stay and it flooded the inside of the room where the door of the balcony area. Part of my blanket got soaked and was wet and I called front desk for a new one, but no one came to replace it, so that night I slept without a blanket. The pictures here on expedia is very different from the what the actual room looks like so beware.
Where do I start
1) room appeared nice. Beds were comfortable
2) I was told I could not have inflatable tube for my 3&5 year old but all the local Mexicans could. Caucasian or Canadians weren’t allowed I guess
3) next day I was also told my 3&5 year old were not allowed to jump in the pool but again everyone else was allowed.
4) food was as limited but good.
5) drinks were good and servers around the pool were great
6) French resto was only one I tried and was great.
7) we had heavy rain day 3 that flooded out entire room. It was coming in the ceiling. When I went to talk to Libby I was in ankle deep water. The entire hotel was as falling apart. The ceilings all had holes and water pouring out them. Got moved to another room which was nice but on the 4th floor and the elevators were all not working. So I had to carry my kid and stroller up and down 4 flights of stairs
8) I wanted to use an umbrella to take a walk and was told I was not allowed
Enjoyed ourselves as much as we could but would not go back or refer friends there sadly. This hotel needs a massive renovation
