Could have done with an extra pillow each and bit more tea and milk would be nice-1 each was a bit mean!
The hotel is near the train station and shops. The area is quiet. The rooms are clean and spacious.

Luggage could be left for a short while after check out, which was a plus.

If you're a light sleeper you might struggle - some of the rooms are opposite to a royal mail depot, with lots of vans coming and going from 3am onwards. Acoustic insulation is virtually non existent, and the noise is significant.

Location is very conveniently placed close to train station, rooms are considerably larger than expected, Staff are generally friendly and efficient
We had an issue during our stay whereby our rooms were close to the front door. (I was travelling with my partner and with a friend = 2 rooms were booked) The front door was very loud when closed, prone to being slammed - this disturbed us int he night, an argument also occurred int he night between staff and a guest that disturbed our sleep. The Hotel cannot be blamed for the actions of another guest, but they could do something about the slamming front door and I hope they will as otherwise this was a very pleasant stay
It was what I expected, clean, basic, great value for closeness to city centre! Flexible access. Car parked off road too was a bonus. However, only 3 spaces! But also looked ok to park outside on road overnight only if had been needed. Others staying were quiet too. Overall pleased.
A fair number of people sharing a toilet and shower room,although another toilet was on ground floor near reception. A little noisy from trains stopping for the night and then starting up early morning as my room was opposite. But acceptable for the price.
Good loction to get around the city, very noisy with windows open as royal mail depot opposite.
On arrival thought the hotel looked clean and tidy, greeted by receptionist who dealt with us quickly. Was disappointed in the room. On the whole it was small but clean however the curtains were awful!!! Looked liked a pattered dust sheet had been put up!! Ruined the room and made it look so cheap.
