This was a great place, with more of an apartment or Condo feel than a hotel and the price was great. Parking was a little far from the hotel, but if the weather hadn't been so freezing cold outside I probably wouldn't have cared.
Parking was an issue…it was windy and cold…had to walk..but not much you can do about that…valet parking??
Easy to navigate- front desk super helpful with finding parking!
Place is huge. Not sure that word tells you how big. Full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 2 huge bedrooms, a living room, 6 closets. Near the Met, aldis around the corner, several places to eat near by. Could check luggage in before check in
Negatives - drop off small and had someone there all three passes. Covered parking a bit far away. We parked in a open parking lot. Looked sketchy, but all as good. The road noise was pretty bad, but we wanted a city view.
Wonderful hotel. Apartment style rooms that are large and extremely comfortable. Perfect for a short or extended stay. Staff very friendly and helpful and the pre-stay email communication was outstanding. Neighborhood is the only (slight) detraction. You can tell it’s improving but still a bit rough around the edges. However, it did not pose a problem for us (very nice coffee shop just down the street) - just something to be aware of so you are not surprised. We will definitely stay there on our next trip to Philly.
Great staff and beautiful room
Stay was perfect.. Everything thing was on point!!
awesome place will return
The property and stay itself was good. Trying to retrieve an item left behind is a bit ridiculous especially if you are visiting from out of state. Returned to retrieve a jacket I left prior to heading to the airport. I wasn’t allowed to retrieve my jacket from the closet. Staff would not go check. However they took my name and number and stated they would call if found. I was right there. I had to ask a friend to go there to pick up my coat, spend unnecessary money to mail it back to me. Luckily I had a friend in the city/state that I am not from that able to pick up my jacket.
Beautiful rooms. Terrific restaurants and bars.
This property was nice and clean however the rooms were super cold! The property provides little
Small heaters but it doesn’t help with the poor installation of windows with no window treatments! Cold air completely slipped in and kept the unit completely cold! Traveling from out of town to explore North Philadelphia! I expected better from
The Mint House!!
Had tickets to the Met. Hotel was wishing 3 blocks, and a quick 5 minute walk. Very safe area to walk. Great restaurant on first floor. Will do it again.
What a lovely boutique hotel vibe, but within a grand building! The room was very clean and well appointed, although a room safe would be a nice addition.
Really nice place. The rooms have an odd shape but they are quite nice. My only real issues were the location. If you want an Uber, they have to stop on a small strip and typically block a bunch of cars and Philly honking ensues. The other issue was one of the elevators were not working. The staff was pleasant.
Lovely hotel...like walking back into history.
I loved my stay at this historic space! It’s one of my favorite areas for shows, food and culture already so adding this to my staycation made my weekend perfect!
Very positive experience from beginning to end. Nice homey space, friendly reception, good bartender at downstairs restaurant, affordable, convenient.
This place is like your own little apartment in the city!! AMAZING!!!! GREAT pizza restaurant downstairs!! Walk to The Met !
It started terrible. First, the hotel says there’s parking on-site. They do not have parking. Then I get to the room, the HVAC was loud and unbearable, & too cold to not turn it in. The TV wasn’t working. The kitchen faucet came loose. All the street noise is awful.
But the staff kindly offered a smaller, much quieter room with a warm HVAC and a good TV. The maintenance person showed me the room, and all of them checked that I was happy.
The bartenders at Cicala were so welcoming.
It ended up being a great trip.
Absolutely love this property
