Soy Local Puerto Vallarta

We had some mixup with our room when we got there, but the next day when Diego was working he managed to straighten things out. A few days later he got a different room for my friends as well. We couldn’t of asked for such a wonderful guy helping us with everything we needed. The rest of the staff were very good as well. It’s a nice friendly atmosphere and close to everything. We certainly would stay there again.

Hotel sencillo pero agradable, personal amable

Was pleased with our stay at Soy Local. Came on a family vacation with older children, and booked 2 rooms. The hotel is in a great location to catch the bus, to go to the convenience store, the big grocery store is not a far walk, and the beach is easy to walk to as well. The hotel was large and tidy, but in bad need of updating. We are not picky travellers, and thought the old historical nature of the hotel was charming and low-key. This is not the place for you if you complain about a broken tile in the pool, or stained grout in the shower. The beds are hard (we like firm mattresses) the sheets had a stain here and there, but were clean smelling. We slept well. Our shower was hot with good pressure, but our children's room was just a lukewarm trickle. Neither room recieved wifi. Only in the lobby. The pool is shaded most of the day, and not heated. We swam a couple times, but made our way to other beaches. We enjoyed the hot strong coffee in the lobby every morning, and one time during our stay there was agua fresca which was tasty. We liked the neighborhood behind our hotel, it was quiet and had great places to eat. It was simple to catch the bus to the romantic zone. The hotel is on the corner of a busy road, so our children's room had the most traffic noise, but our room was facing the back and was much quieter. The staff were quiet and just kept to themselves, but were quick to help us with a smile when we needed toilet paper or a towel. I will likely stay here again.

Very friendly staff and safe

We had to move three times. First because the beds were very hard and on street side very noisy.second room beds were a bit better on the pool side but internet didn’t work.. third room beds were way better and room was really big. Internet worked. It was a quiet space. We only use the pool one evening when no one else was there. It was nice. For about three days, there was a soccer tournament so the hotel was filled with kids and families. They had a blast. I would stay at that hotel again. Price was great and walking distance to everything and bus stop right in front.

Lobby floor levels (read, uneven) are difficult to navigate.
No comfortable seating in rooms.
Lumpy, awful pillows.

Stayed at this hotel for about 5 days while exploring PV. This is a budget hotel off the beaten path, about 10 mins drive from the airport and 10 mins to Romantic Zone. Easy check in, room was ok and clean enough, AC worked great. The bathroom is very small and not the best, but at least shower works. My room was on 2nd floor and I got lucky that Wi-Fi worked in my room most of the time. Breakfast is a disaster, don't bother. Never really enjoyed the pool as it was full of locals with hundreds of screaming kids. It gets pretty noisy during the day and evening. Would not stay again!

La atención de la chica de recepción y las de limpieza fueron increíbles

As described and as pictured. The room I stayed in was Quiet, comfortable and clean.

It is not far away from the airport, and easily accessible via Uber, Taxi or bus.

No respetan la habitacion que pagas y que esta en su página, por lo que rentamos una habitacion con Queen y matrimonial, pero jos dieron lo que se les dio la gana, es publicidad engañosa y nunca resolvieron, asegurense de que les den la habitacion correcta o busque otra opcion como el One, city express que dale en lo mismo pero mucho mejor estas opciones.

Buena opción

Nos tocó habitación con chinches. En la madrugada lo reportamos, nos dan otra habitación y nos encontramos una cucaracha de cocina. El resto de la estancia no habia toallas, pedía 5 porque no nos pusieron en las habitaciones y solo tenian 2. El primer día no se hizo el servicio de limpieza a la habitación.
Como pagamos por expedia por 4 noches no se nos hizo reembolso ni total ni parcial.

Walking distance to beach and food

La zona en la que se encuentra es centrica, puedes llegar facil al malecon ya sea en uber o transporte publico en 10 minutos, alrededor se encuentran varoas tiendas y negocios para comer.

Did not have the amenities promised. no proper table and chairs, no counter, no microwave. Room was dark, dirty, dingy. Broken,sharp soap dish on the shower wall (dangerous). Rust on the towels. Door hardware was micky-mouse, etc. etc. I have plenty of photos to show this and more. A complete ripoff for what I paid!
