Pros:

Location is perfect, the A/C is cold, the bed is comfortable, the bedding is clean, the staff are very friendly and enthusiastic, the room is quiet. I didn’t need anything more. Shop with beauty dresses just opposite the entrance. I’m happy I rented it, as I could just step out of my door and start exploring the area

Cons:

Too strong smell of cloves (but in 1 night it was gone), lack of hooks or shelves, window opens to the inner yard gallery (but I didn’t feel any problem about that, as I sent all the time outside, so actually only needed a bed to sleep and a shower).
The water from shower runs onto the door and then inside the room. But you’re living inside a centuries old fort, for sure it was built with some other space planning approach, it’s amazing it has a private toilet room already. It’s an adventure, really, why bother

Good budget hotel right in the centre
Pros:

Location is great and is a good budget option with a big comfortable bed. The photos are much better than the rooms, which while spacious are very basic and worn and all widows face in to the hallway and not the outside. Extremely loud air conditioning so expect to wear some ear plugs. Hangers or hooks would be useful to hang clothes! Overall we were happy and had a good stay. Lovely staff and bar downstairs.,

Estadia boa e preço justo.
Pros:

A localização é ótima! Dentro do Forte e próximo as principais atrações. Os funcionários são muito solícitos!

Cons:

Porém, as instalações do quarto coletivo estavam com umidade e tive uma crise alérgica na primeira noite.

Pros:

I`m really enjoyed our stay at MOI Galle Fort. The place is beautiful and cozy, right in the middle of the fort. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice, with fresh fruit and good coffee. Would definitely stay again!

Can't wait to be back in Moi Galle Fort for my next vacation

My recent stay at Moi Galle Fort was truly amazing. The hotel's unique blend of colonial architecture made for a memorable experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the location within the historic Galle Fort area was another plus point for the hotel. Avoid the dorms!! Worst stay

I liked the location but that was about it

Cons:

I have traveled in South America, Asia and Africa and this is one of the worst hostels I have stayed in. Private rooms might be ok but please note that the “girls dorm” is behind the kitchen in the staff area, there is NO window and it looks more like a storage room than a dormitory. It’s smells strong humidity and impossible to ventilate if you don’t want the fumes from the kitchen in the bedroom.
Bathroom so run down too, no window.
Staff are loud until the restaurant closes so it was hard to relax. Plus the mattress was old and hollow.
I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I have paid much less for muuuch better rooms in Sri Lanka this is worth 5$ at its best. It should be forbidden to have guests in a tiny room behind a kitchen with no window!
