Great place to stay in Lao Cai
Pros:

Clean and comfortable stay which was walking distance to the border. Friendly and welcoming staff. During my stay there was very heavy rain from the remnants of a typhoon so I was grateful that they have a restaurant onsite which serves fresh and tasty food. Amazing views from the high floors.

Comfortable and comforting
Pros:

Breakfast was great. Amazing views. Had a laundry and lovely bar/ restaurant area. Staff were extremely helpful Oanh especially, she arranged bus for me and and made sure company looked after me.

Pros:

This hotel was so unexpected, we turned up last minute as I was feeling unwell and needed a place to stay and the staff were so helpful and kind, letting us into a room early. The bed was so comfortable and the whole place was spotless.

The triumph of Style over Practicalities!
Pros:

Stylish. TV. Comfortable beds. Position.

Cons:

Bed awkward/ dangerous for second occupant.
Lots of electronics but no card key to turn off/ on automatically so things get left on when you are out
Lacking in room facilities. Though large bar, restaurant, seating area available.
Rooms quite small with wash basin outside bathroom area.
