No heating in room freezing, until the owner put a plug in heater in there.
Breakfast inedible.
Clean bedding , but is a stg and hen place, so get what you pay for
Arrived and checking in was quick .the owner even let us park on his other propery across the road .which we were very gratefull .the room was clean .clean bathroom en suite .comfortable beds the breakfast we both enjoyed each morning on our 2 day stay .all you can eat .tea and coffee
So called owner rude and threating mannner when i got there, asked if son can take bags to hotel room, do i can go get £20 security desposit, said i was taking the piss and pointing finger in my chest, honestly never been so angry, tbe rest of the staff were fine, he just ruined the start of my sons 21rst birthday, glad i never reacted, 100% not recomment if this guy was really the owner
Hotel dated needs modernisation big style I booked this hotel sat and sun to be informed by hotel staff that they are closed on Sundays was given another sister hotel across the road I had to wait until 3pm for are rooms I would not recommend this hotel if it was free of charge
My brother and I spent the past weekend at this hotel as we were attending the British Country Music festival at the Winter Gardens. The staff were very friendly despite my brother keeping Andy up until very late in the bar!! Thank you Andy and John for looking after us.
We have booked for next years festival so will book their sister hotel across the road later today. Would definitely recommend these 2 hotels.
Great value for money
Staff were very friendly & welcoming & no issues during stay
Didn't like the fact that the music was on 24 hours a day. No air ventilation at all, hot and stuffy in the room. Shower did not work. On the bright side, staff were lovely.
Great for what e we wanted, friendly atmosphere and helpful staff
stayed thare a few times staff very helpfull food very good only think to change id the bath mats?
Apart from a cple rooms having dodgy showers, an a bit small, cant complain. No hassles for being a stag do, location fine, 24hr bar an decent brekkie, what more can you expect for the money !
Basic, but a clean bed, shower worked, decent breakfast. For the money I wouldn't dream of complaining.
A
we did not stay as we got refused because my daighter is under 18. it wasnt clear on the website that it was for over 18s and they refused to give us a refund. i had saved up for this holiday and it was ruined
On arrival we were asked for a £20 deposit but not advised what this related to. On entering the bedroom what we saw was unbelievable the room smelt musty and looked as if it had been untouched since the 1960's. There were 2 single beds that looked clinical with off white looking sheets a single pillow and no duvet. There was a small old wooden unit that looked like it was about to fall apart and the bathroom well it was disgusting. The whole room need a complete redecoration. In addition there was no kettle, tea, coffee, cups, no toiletries to take a shower, a small towel that felt like sandpaper and no tv. The blaring music from downstairs was the final straw. My wife suffers with severe asthma and immediately said we could not stay at the property because of the state of the room so we advised the owner we would not be staying. After requesting the deposit refund we were not offered a refund of the actual cost for the night and were escorted from the premises.
A complete nightmare and would not recommend. Our friends were staying at the Norwood Hotel round the corner and we believed this was part of the same chain. How wrong we were and have since been told that many people have made the same mistake. It should be reviewed with hotels having an almost identical name as it is misleading.
Hotel is in a great location, car park right next door
10 mins walk to beach
Owners were awesome, couldnt do enough for you
Only single downside is i asked to ask for soap to put in bathroom as they said they didnt supply soap, I found this a bit odd as its a basic hygiene requirement in a toilet, for the cost a small bar would have made this stay spot on
Its not the ritz but we arent that way inclined it was somewhere clean and a place to sleep, breakfast was lovely and the people cooking it were dedicated
Weekend with Friends.
Friendly team of people.
Rooms are clean but are in need of upgrade, felt abit 1980s with wood cladding in the bathroom. Touch on the smaller size aswell.
Breakfast inc service was very good!
Check in and out .. simple
Would i stay again, yes for the value.
Great value for what you get a bit dated but you get breakfast as well and its clean great for getting your head down
good hotel stayed there before staff very helpfull thank you
Booked this last minute for ax night out in Blackpool. Paid £60 for 2 of us Inc breakfast. Room was small and bathroom even smaller, shower cubicle was tiny but it was OK for 1 night. Water in shower alternated from hot to cold and didn't keep constant so not brilliant. It was a cold october night so heating was turned up to full but i still woke up cold, could have done with another duvet on but didn't know if they would give me another one. Slept in my hoody and leggings to keep warm. Staff were friendly and attentive and the breakfast was really good, plenty of food for you to help yourself to and very tasty. Parking was round the side of the hotel and was £8.40 for 24 hours. All in all it was a cheap hotel , good enough for a couple of nights. Was very clean although room was a little run down
