The good: Sheraton Cebu offers tons of amenities, a beautiful room and view, is located in a good spot on Mactan Island (note though debilitating traffic on a 2-lane road), an easy and clear meeting point for tour companies, room service was quick and accurate and tasty. Having a bubble bath and a bidet in our room were great bonuses!

Con: we unknowingly booked during ASEAN 2026. The hotel was at full capacity and completely overrun. For a group of 3 girlfriends looking to unwind for a few quiet days at the beach and pool, this was basically not feasible. The beach was completely packed constantly as was the pool. Hotel staff was hard to find. We were told pool bar was out of all fruit and that they couldn’t do blended drinks. Breakfast sometimes meant we had to wait for a table (I’ve never experienced this at a hotel breakfast before). We had a harrowing checkin experience too where they told us that the room we had booked wasn’t available and they also couldn’t confirm our tour to Bohol for the next day which had been booked weeks prior. This was anxiety inducing and frustrating after a long day of travel. (note they did try to make up for this by giving us a 5000 peso dining credit, which was appreciated), and they were able to eventually confirm the tour. We also didn’t receive welcome drinks (2 members of the group Marriott Bonvoy members) until we asked. Understood the staff was busy, but at this price point you definitely expect a level of service that we didn’t feel we received- especially that first night.

Overall, would not recommend and would consider staying at the Shangrila down the street if I were to ever return to Cebu.

The Sheraton Cebu exceeded all expectations. From the restaurants and bars to the overall comfort, cleanliness, beachfront setting, and attentive staff, everything was outstanding.

A special mention as well to the in-house nurse service, which was exceptional and provided great reassurance during our stay.

Overall, every aspect of the hotel experience was excellent and truly surpassed my expectations.

Its my first time in Sharaton Mactan and I must say, all praise to this resort and probably making my top list!!!
From airport pickup to checkin, everything was quick. The driver was easy to find with his placard of the hotel name, he carried our luggages and was very professional. Checkin was superb, I liked that they have a separate queue for Elite members and to top it all, they have upgraded me to a Junior Suite! Thank you Marriott! Our room for huge and had a beautiful view of the sea, the pool and the property. I posted this on IG and had lot of likes and DMs asking me where it is. Its just picture perfect, so calm and serene. The room has a sitting area, dining table, walk in closet, huge bath with a center tub and separate shower area. The bed and pillows were so comfortable, impeccably Marriott! There were also goodies provided everyday. By the way, I was supposed to just stay overnight but bcos I really enjoyed my first day, I decided to stay for another day and they gave me the same room! We dined in the 5 Cien for dinner and breakfast and food selection in the buffet was absolutely bliss. You would have to plan out what to eat daily cos there is just so much selection, you'll always leave wanting for more. I like the little sari sari store in front where you can take away some chips. The property was well maintained although quite a distance from the city. Room service was fast and food was delicious and good amount of serving. There were drinks in the fridge and some snacks that you can buy from the mini bar. The beach area is okay, probably the only downside, white sands but not as fine as boracay and when you go in the watee, it is recommended to wear water shoes as there are huge rocks underneath. There are small fishes in the sea while swimming and there are life vests and life guards available. There are 2 pools I believe, the one facing the bea h is where most guests are. There is a morning exercise by the pool (how cool is that!!) And lovely to see guests doing the exercise in the pool. There is also bars available in the property, there is one that gives you the beach feels- Buhi Cave Bar with great music. Overall, this is a perfect get away if you want that pure relaxation. My regret is I didnt get to use the spa and cant extend much longer cos I need to transfer hotels for work. All staff are committed to serve you, with the Cebuano warmth and personalized service. Went to the hotel on a day pass.
We were staying in Cebu city but our intentions were to book here for a few days later on our vacation.
On arrival we got no greeting from the very rude receptionist explained we were on a day pass and paid £50 and got our wristbands!
No idea what that included no information on the hotel etc
The pool was so busy and a very loud guy on his microphone doing activities in the pool area he finally stopped shouting after about an hour
We managed to get 2 sun loungers on a shell beach area which was on a sloop.
The cove was lovely and the sea was very clean
Ordered a beer and pizza awful flat beer,but the pizza was very good.
Glad we went for a day and not a week.

Amazing property, but internet did not work the majority of my stay. IT did try to help.resolve it, but was very atressful,as I work remote. The fitness center is modern. The breakfast is one of the best I have experienced in Asia. 1Love Bingo at the pool and Zumba. Staff at pool are great. A HUGE THANK YOU to Ross, the assistant manager. He could not so enough to make my stay better. Sent up a few bottles of wine on different nights, get me some Marriott points, upgraded me to a beautiful suite. Downside....room was not ready on arrival, which was disappointing given my loyalty status, internet is very problematic, excursions not as advertised, beach is misleading too many rocks, and should not charge extra to use kayaks and snorkel gear. Also, remote area need to take Grab into the city.

We had a really great stay at this hotel. It’s a proper five-star resort with a calm, relaxed atmosphere—more like a wellness retreat than a busy resort.
Everything was very clean, both the room and the entire property. Housekeeping did a great job every day—it always felt fresh when we came back to the room.
The staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. You can tell they care about the guests and think along.
The room itself was in perfect condition, and everything worked as it should. Room service was also reliable and of good quality.
The food was very good, and the different restaurants are definitely worth trying. The beach, pools, and overall area are all well maintained and clean, and the sunbeds are comfortable and high quality.

One of the highlights for us was the sea itself. There are a lot of beautiful fish in the water, which made swimming there even more special and really added to the overall experience.

We also really appreciated that we could check in earlier after a long flight without any issues.

Overall, the price-performance ratio is absolutely fair for what you get. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would come back again.

It has a convenient location, closer to airport and for sightseeing. The hotel room is spacious and very clean. Nice facility with a beautiful beachfront. Staff are friendly and very accommodating especially the lady named Lovely which fit to her personality. Me and my friends enjoyed our stay. We surely recommend
and would love to come back in the future.

Great position, only 20 mins from the airport. The rooms were decent sized and very modern and new. Service was first-class and the breakfast buffet is top notch.
