Ecole St. Pierre Hotel

This is the most charming, cosy hotel in a great location. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, and made a point of touching base regularly to see if we needed anything. Nothing was too much trouble. Elcin on the front desk was particularly amazing, as well has our hilarious waiter Hakan, who remembered our coffee order after the first day. The restaurant serves better Italian food than I had in Italy. And sitting in the courtyard is like a little slice of Paris. The rooms are pristine and so comfortable, with little gifts and notes left most days. There is nowhere in Istanbul that is 'close to everything' but Ecole St Pierre is steps away from Galata Tower, and we were able to walk to Taskim square via the Mall, to Galata Port shops and restaurant, to Galata Bridge, the Grand Bazaar and Spice Market, and then it's only a bit further to the old town main attractions. But it's close to tram and metro for anything further. Highly recommend this hotel. It doesn't have the pool etc of the big chain hotels, but makes up for it with intimacy, personal service and charm.

Beautifully restored historical boutique hotel; all staff were warm & welcoming with exceptional customer service going above & beyond. Elif (head housekeeper) kept our room immaculate. Breakfast really relaxed and enjoyable thanks to Hakan’s excellent customer service and humour ; Natali and all the staff on reception were extremely helpful & knowledgable; the handwritten notes & little gifts left in our room each day were such a lovely personal touch

Staff very welcoming and remarkably attentive to details - especially Hakan who served our breakfast every morning with a generous smile and plenty sense of humour. The hotel is perfectly located, very comfortable and definitely up to our expectations. The room where we stayed was cute even though at times a bit loud (we could hear the street brouhaha and the courtyard noises), so we would definitely ask for a different room the next time. This being said, we really enjoyed our stay.

frühstücken. Unterkunft waren wirklich sehr stark. In der Rezeption wurde man sehr herzlich Empfang und auch beim Frühstück wird man von verschiedenen Kollegen herzlich umsorgt. Hakan kümmert sich hier wirklich sehr gut und das Zimmer wird von Elif in einen top Zustand jeden Tag hergerichtet....

В один из дней нам сделали неожиданный комплимент в виде вина, сырной и мясной тарелки, а также тирамису!
Дочке также сделали подарок - мишка , сшитый из ниток. Она была очень счастлива !
Также хочу отметить ресторан при отеле. Хороший выбор итальянской кухни!

Alif did a wonderful job of cleaning our room, Hakan provided the best service at breakfast every day and the coffee was great!
Lots of extra attention to detail: Le Labo toiletries, WhatsApp concierge help for reservations, free candle gift, lavender on pillows and even a glasses cleaning cloth was left when they realised my wife is a glasses wearer.

Amazing boutique hotel in a really good location in Istanbul. Really friendly staff and nice service. The breakfast was thought through and tasty, the amenities sufficient. And the location in Istanbul old town is amazing.

We stayed at Ecole St. Pierre for five nights during our recent trip to Istanbul, and overall had a wonderful stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, full of character, and perfectly located in the heart of Galata.

The location is genuinely one of the hotel's biggest strengths. We were able to walk almost everywhere, regularly clocking up 25,000+ steps a day without needing much public transport. Karaköy, Galata, Sultanahmet and plenty of fantastic restaurants, bars and attractions were all within easy reach. In fact, we only discovered some brilliant spots right on the hotel's doorstep during our final couple of days and wished we'd had more time to explore the neighbourhood.
The hotel is stylish, elegant and clearly designed with a lot of care. We stayed in a Suite with Terrace overlooking Galata Tower, and the view was stunning. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and we slept incredibly well throughout our stay. Our room was always spotless thanks to the housekeeping team, who were consistently warm and thoughtful, regularly leaving extra coffee pods, fresh towels and keeping everything beautifully tidy despite us being fairly messy guests.
The guest relations and reception team were also excellent before and during our stay. Communication was prompt, helpful and friendly from the moment we booked. A special mention to Natali and Batuhan, who were both incredibly welcoming and helpful. As someone recovering from a shoulder injury, I was especially grateful when Batuhan kindly carried my suitcase upstairs, as the hotel doesn't have a lift

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The location is perfect — right in the beautiful Galata area, within walking distance of many attractions, charming streets, cafés, and restaurants. It was an ideal base for exploring Istanbul.

The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with everything needed for a pleasant stay. The staff were professional, friendly, and always ready to help with recommendations and any requests.

What we appreciated most was the combination of comfort, hospitality, and the unique atmosphere of the Galata neighborhood. Waking up in such a vibrant and historic part of the city made our trip even more memorable.

Thank you for the excellent service and warm welcome. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul.
