The staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was beautifully designed, clean, and well maintained, making the stay comfortable and enjoyable. We only stayed for one night as we were in the city for a concert, so we didn't have much time to fully experience everything the hotel had to offer, but our stay was pleasant and comfortable.
The shower pressure was a bit low for our liking. Though, this could be a matter of personal preference.
Friendly staff, excellent breakfast, beautiful views from both rooms, very comfortable beds, and an amazing shower!
First, we were mistakenly checked into a lower-category room. The next day, we were moved to the correct room, but we had to move our luggage ourselves.
The hotel was also unwilling to refund the price difference for the first night, explaining that the booking had been made through Booking.com. I don’t fully understand why that prevented them from issuing a refund, but I accepted their explanation. I will request the refund through Booking.com instead.
Everything, the decoration, the service, the confort of the bed, the restaurant, the bar, the room service, everything was perfect and better than expected.
nothing
Overbooked, lied to. I booked a 3-day stay at The Hoxton Brussels for January through Booking.com, and the hotel fully confirmed it. When we arrived at noon, we were shocked to hear they were overbooked. What made it completely unacceptable was the receptionist’s blatant lie: they insisted they had notified me about this two days prior. The most shocking and frustrating part was that they couldn't provide a single shred of proof—no call logs, no emails, nothing—to support this claim. This was a complete fabrication, and we were left to face this mess only upon arrival without any advance warning. They initially tried to dismiss us and told us to figure out our own way to the alternative hotel, completely ignoring the fact that we were in a totally unfamiliar city and had no idea how to get from one point to another. In The end finally agreed to pay for our taxi. To ensure I wouldn't get scammed or turned away a second time, I had to proactively give them my email address just to secure a proper confirmation for the new place. The Solution:It turned out that the manager had booked us into the Sofitel Brussels, which was 10–15 minutes away. While the front desk's dishonesty and total lack of cooperation were disgusting, their failure was a blessing in disguise. Our taxi driver informed us that there had been drug-related gang shootings in the immediate neighborhood around The Hoxton just that week. Moving to the Sofitel not only got us away from a dangerous area but also provided a much safer, superior experience. The Hoxton staff will lie to your face to cover their mistakes, offer zero proof for their claims, and leave you to fend for yourself in a strange city.
Absolutely gorgeous; felt like a luxury hotel (but at an accessible price point). Every detail was well thought out, cool, interesting, beautiful, and functional. We LOVED staying here. The restaurants were excellent too. Unbelievably nice lobby.
The parking (while VERY conveniently situated) felt pretty sketchy. Plus, without in-and-out privileges, it was a bit of a logistical burden. The hotel should offer day passes to the lot that allow in-and-out privileges.
Parcheggio vicino
Location, super friendly and helpful staff. Excellent air conditioning
Couldn’t fault it if I tried!
