We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The rooms were beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable. From check-in to check-out, the service was absolutely top-notch—every staff member we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind.
A special highlight was how they went out of their way to make my wife’s birthday memorable. They surprised us with a cake, sparkling water, and a handwritten note wishing her a happy birthday, which was such a thoughtful touch.
The location is fantastic—you step outside and you’re right in the center of everything, making it perfect for exploring the area on foot. The facilities are great, and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of options.
Overall, a wonderful experience. Highly recommended, and we would definitely stay here again!

neben rezeption ist eine nette dame die hilft mit event. organisation der freizeit.
wir haben halbpension gebucht . mann muss damit rechnen es ist NICHT schnelles essen ;).
auf dem dach ist ein pool, wir hatten leider nicht dazu passendes wetter.
wir haben bei geschlossenen fenstern und klima geschlafen, es ist doch relativ laut vom aussen.
wir waren da nur drei nächte nach einem wochigen urlaub auf der insel nur die stadt mehr kennenlernen, für eine woche wäre es mit den schränken zu knapp. wenn mann nicht nur mit der badehose reist.
Located is very central but the rooms can be quite claustrophobic
Rooms are really plain. We were given a room with a window facing a wall which was quite claustrophobic so I complained and the hotel at least upgraded us. But even then, the rooms are not great.
Worst bit is that there id no parking and the closest parking lot is at least 10 mins away for which you’re expected to pay! When I complained about this, the hotel offered free parking but even then it was too far away to be convenient. Overall, however, the hotel was kind enough to offer paid parking and a better room but it seemed like we had to constantly ask for everything. Also, there are no porters to help.
Emplacement idéal et un rooftop magnifique avec une très belle vue sur l’océan et la ville de Funchal.
La chambre côté mer donnant sur une ruelle très bruyante nous obligeant à laisser la fenêtre fermée et la climatisation enclenchée.
L’emplacement, la décoration et le personnel…
La piscine sur le toit en pleine ville est un plus.

Location is great in the centre of old town, beautiful atmosphere at the lobby and amazing terrace with views of Funchal!

Das Hotel war sehr einfach zu erreichen vom Flughafen via Shuttelbus. Die Lage ist sehr zentral. Das war ideal um Funchal zu besichtigen. Alles war zu Fuss sehr nah. Das Frühstück ist ein Traum! Jeden Tag gab es Omeletten und/oder Pancakes/Churros/Waffeln, Früchten, diverse Brötchen, Käse, Schinken und vieles mehr! Die Zimmer sind gross und sehr komfortabel. Man hat drei Kissen in verschiedenen Grössen zur Verfügung. Im Bad hat man Seife, Handcreme, Shampoo und Balsam mit einem wunderbaren Duft! Das Zimmerpersonal kommt 2 Mal pro Tag. Im Hotel wird ein angenehmes Duft gesprüht. Das Personal ist nett und sehr hilfsbereit. Kann dieser Hotel nur empfehlen!
Das Frühstück eröffnet um 7.30 Uhr. Wenn man wandern geht ist es zu spät. Wir haben einmal eine Lunchbox bestellt anstatt unser Frühstück und das war ziemlich enttäuschend (nur eine kleine Flasche Wasser, eine Frucht, ein Stück Schokoladenkuchen und ein Croissant mit Käse/Schinken). Im Hotelrestaurant ist es kalt wegen der Lüftung. Das Essen ist aber lecker.

La place est bruyante (musiciens de rue et terrasses) et l’appartement mal isolé. Impossible de dormir avant 23h.

Limpeza, silencio (isolamento acústico impecable), localização privilegiada no centro antigo de Funchal podendo ir a pe para todos os cantos. Cafe da manha completíssimo com espumante e cozinheiro fazendo omeletes e ovos fritos. Ficamos uma semana nesse hotel e nos sentíamos muito confortáveis. Vários estacionamentos pagos nas redondezas dos quais escolhemos o mais proximo indicado pelo hotel para deixar o carro nos dois dias que visitamos a ilha dirigindo.
