Ladybird Boutique Hotel at Kanonkop

Au vu du prix élevé de la chambre, il serait apprécié de pouvoir choisir plus qu’un plat pour le petit déjeuner (on ne peut pas prendre du sucré et du salé sans payer de supplément)

Le frigo était très sale et le ménage de la salle de bain devrait être plus minutieux

Trop peu de transats au niveau de la piscine (seulement 6)

Le dimanche une dizaine de personnes extérieures à l’hôtel étaient à la piscine, faisaient beaucoup de bruit et nous éclaboussaient en sautant sans cesse dans l’eau. Tous les voyageurs ont désertés la piscine, au vu du prix on aurait souhaité un minimum de calme et de confort

Il était compliqué d’accéder à l’hôtel car la grille était fermé, la sonnette ne fonctionne pas et personne ne répondait au téléphone.

Trotz Mail, dass wir spät kommen, war das Gate geschlossen. Die Klingel seit langem defekt, wie man sah....Elektrik in der Anlage muss saniert werden.Die Akustik im Haus ist eines Boutique-Hotels unwürdig...keinerlei Trittschalldämmung, sitzt man in der Suite auf dem Balkon, sitzen darunter die Essengäste und unterhalten sich fröhlich....Auch die dumme und billige Abtrennug der beiden Suites und der kleineren Zimmer sind ohne Sinn für Privatshäre konzipiert.Im Bad stinkt es, da ein Abfluss ohne syphon gebaut ist....Betritt man das Hotel riecht es nach Küchendunst, da es keine Abzugshaube gibt...Am 2.Pool sitzend hört man die nahe N44 sehr laut.

The room we recieved wasn't the room we booked in the images on booking.com.
There was hair in the shower drain.
There was no air conditioning in the room even though the booking on book.com said there would be.

The room was not clean. The kitchen had old rubbish from the people who checked out before us.
We were staying outside a laundry room everytime we walked out of our room we saw the laundry door wide opened with all that mess.

What spoiled our stay was food poisoning. After having ordered the Sunday lunch, 2 of our party fell terribly ill and suffered food poisoning. Realistically the worst food poisoning I have ever suffered in my life, and having to travel the next day in that state was uncomfortable to say the least. I am still on the mend as I write this two days later. Infact, my 3 year old daughter also felt ill after eating at Ladybird.

This is clearly a staff issue, and not a property issue. It appears as though Ladybird had a beautiful past and sadly, short cuts are being taken in her present state that risk the well being of their patrons.

A pity as this would have no doubt been a 10 if it weren’t for such a serious issue arising.

I wanted to express our concerns regarding the safety and security of our accommodations yesterday. As two females traveling alone, we were disturbed by unusual noises and sounds of fidgeting outside our door, which created a stressful environment. Despite our expectation of a quiet and safe space to relax, the experience fell short.

While we did notice some security presence when we departed. We were not aware that there were security or staff on premises as we were not given that information nor reachable contact numbers. We attempted to contact someone to report our concerns last night, but the phone numbers provided were not functional. This lack of communication channel made it difficult for us to address the issue promptly.

We were disappointed with the overall experience and would appreciate it if measures could be taken to improve security and communication in the future.
