Tv didnt work. No availability for live TV is extremely disappointing. Could not control volume on TV. "Maintenance Tech" sent to my room was not knowledgeable and simply replaced the batteries in the remote.

Great apartments, disappointing front desk service during 2nd stay
Pros:

Great pricing deals at this home away from home apartment complex with beautiful apartments with full kitchen and bathroom. Our favorite Placemakr location so far!

Cons:

This was our second stay at this location. Front desk service was exceptional during our first stay with knowledgeable, helpful and a genuinely friendly young woman. Unfortunately, the man who worked the front desk during our second visit in February 2026 was dreadful.

He first refused to allow my boyfriend to check into the room without me even though both of our names were on the reservation. We physically showed him both names on the reservation in a screenshot but he still insisted I go to front desk in person. This forced me to double park my car on the road without anyone in it after Midnight when I had already driven 4hrs from New York. Secondly, I had to argue with him to buzz me into the garage that first night because he insisted my reservation did not have a note about needing a parking spot. I showed him the conversation history on the Booking.com app where I submitted a request for a parking spot about two months prior to our stay. He said it didn’t matter because he did not see a note on his computer. He only agreed to let me into the parking garage AFTER I paid the parking fee in advance and then go back out to move my car into the garage. This man put a damper on a weekend trip I was really looking forward to after a wonderful first stay in 2025. He wasted a half hour of my time arguing about everything after I was already exhausted from a 4hr drive and a 10hr workday prior to the drive. All I wanted was to check into the room I had already paid in full for months in advance. He was a poor representative of the Placemakr Marymount Ballston location that has soured any plans I have for future stays.

Would stay again next time I’m in Arlington
Pros:

It was very clean and smelled great all over the building. It was also a convenient walk to many restaurants and stores.

Cons:

The only thing I didn’t like was the slow draining in the sink.

This is our go to place when we are in town.
Pros:

Great location, friendly and responsive staff, clean facilities, respectful guests

Cons:

The coffee maker and the key fob to the elevator and the room did not work. The staff and management had to replace with FOUR coffee makers and reset the key fob THREE times until it finally started working on the third day of our stay. In all fairness, we really appreciated staff's responsiveness. They were extremely helpful and responsive. It just shows the facility needs some upgrades.
Parking is ridiculously expensive for Arlington: $35/day. Luckily there is other parking available in town and usually short term street parking is available for loading/ unloading.

Great Arlington address.
Pros:

Great staff! Very nice people. The apartment was excellent and the clothes washing machine was welcome. Kitchen was clean and modern.

Cons:

Garage is a bit of a pain if you have a larger vehicle.
