A very unique property in a beautiful and historic setting. The building has been refurbished but the sense of purpose that it was originally built for still remains. The lightness and airiness of the hallways seems to instill a quietness despite the soaring ceilings. The room was very comfortable with a big bathroom. All the staff were very attentive and helpful.
I felt the breakfast was lacking. While it looked impressive, the hot food was barely warm and the breads and a pastry I had were rather stale. I would have expected better food from a 5 star hotel.
Friendly staff with great restaurant suggestions.
Some groundwork is being done next to the hotel during our stay. It was not pretty to look at from the breakfast room windows. Bulldozers and backhoes with piles of dirt.
However, when it is finished, I trust it will be as beautiful as the rest of the hotel.
The hotel's courtyard is a square patch of dirt lined with trees. No one was ever out there. What a missed opportunity to create a beautiful setting with grass or a stone patio, maybe a water feature, and a place for evening gatherings, drinks, dining outside, or listening to musicians.

It feels inhospitable. It’s closer to a 4 star. I did not feel it was a luxury 5 star hotel
Me gustó la ubicación y los servicios que tiene el hotel. Además, de ser un edificio histórico me gustó su ambientación y sus carteles recordatorios del lugar que fue.
El parking de clientes estaba ocupado por otros clientes que no pertenecían al hotel. En época de Fiestas de Alcabaça deberían tener las plazas reservadas solo para clientes.

Très bel hotel inséré dans un superbe monument le monastère d’Alcobaça … la décoration est sobre et de très bon goût . Les chambres sont très confortables… si on préfère le calme et le silence demander les chambres dont les fenêtres donnent sur le cloître / cour intérieure . Excellent petit déjeuner , le restaurant aussi très bon mais un peu trop cher à mon avis , on trouvera des restaurants très bien en ville , à 2 pas de l’hôtel… ( António Padeiro 👍) c’est mon 2eme séjour dans cet hôtel et il y aura sûrement un 3 ème … j’oubliais la piscine ! Une merveille
😳.. j’aime tout ! Et si je devais chercher quelque chose ? Peut-être la manière de faire les lits … un peu confus … mais c’est un détail
