Room very noise from other rooms and from the street

The hotel is centrally located, the room is spacious and clean.

Poor location and expensive parking

Pics of the building are true, but the area surrounding hotel is less than desirable. Great work out area, room is clean, bathrooms top notch, restaurants are good, terrible location.

Hotel was beautiful and clean and modern. It was however in a terrible neighborhood and the people outside at night were yelling and it sounded like they were throwing things. Pretty uncomfortable with my little ones. We didn’t get much sleep.

The hotel itself was very good, but it’s on the edge of the Tenderloin neighborhood which isn’t good — lots of homelessness, vagrancy, crime, and other undesirable elements. And none of the car services (Uber, Waymo, etc.) would pick up in front of the hotel -- it was always around the corner from the hotel.

The hotel is right in the center of the homeless area, so there are blocks and blocks of (at times) hundreds of homeless people on the streets.

This is my go-to hotel when I need to stay downtown or near SOMA. I’ve been coming here since the days when it was The Line (before Hilton took over). The rooms are great, love the toiletries, and the shower has excellent pressure and quick, consistent temperature control. The bed is comfortable, and the AC keeps the room perfectly cool. Staff are consistently great, quick, professional, and genuinely nice people.

Cons: as others have mentioned, the area can feel like a scene out of The Walking Dead. I’m a big SF fan, but downtown needs more than just the daily hosing down (which is appreciated, by the way). While the people won’t bother you, the smell of urine and general street conditions can be overwhelming, an assault on your senses.

That said, the positives of this hotel far outweigh the negatives of the area, which is why I stay here every time I need to be nearby.

We really enjoyed staying here. The hotel itself is beautiful and clean the staff was friendly. They were accommodating and attentive. The areas surrounding the hotel is a little less than desired, but we expected that being in this area of San Francisco. Other than that I have nothing to say other than positive!

Nice hotel. Not a good area.

The hotel was nice and clean, so was the room we stood at, it had a larger table and l shaped sofa for us to eat at. The surrounding area was not a good or clean area, we arrived on Friday night around 11:30pm and couldn’t believe how bad the surrounding area was, there is a lot of homeless and drug users roaming around the street, the one good thing is that there is security at the front of the hotel and the limit access to the hotel, you must have a key card to enter.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Timbri Hotel San Francisco and was thoroughly impressed by the overall experience. The room design was not only aesthetically pleasing but also exceptionally clean and well-maintained, offering a calming space to relax after a long day. The quality of the in-room products was a welcoming touch, reflecting attention to detail and guest comfort.
While the hotel itself is located in a lively part of the city, the inside was a quiet escape from the outside environment. The staff were absolutely amazing and treated me like a queen. They were genuinely attentive and had an answer for every question making my stay feel personal.
I also want to commend the hotel's visible efforts toward sustainability. It is inspiring to see environmentally conscious practices encouraged without compromising on comfort or quality. Overall, the Timbri hotel strikes a perfect balance between thoughtful design, genuine hospitality, and responsible values. I look forward to staying here again!

Great service and accommodating just on a kind of nasty and dirty

The hotel is very nice and clean. The service is excellent. However the area surrounding it is like skid row. Homeless people laying on the street. And lots of shady characters just hanging around in groups. Its good if you just need to sleep for one night at a reasonable price but would not stay for more than that.

The property was not in a good part of town and there was numerous homeless people.And human waste on the sidewalks it was is really gross. I did like the property a lot.As they were very clean and it was a newer building.Only 4 years old and everybody, there was so helpful and polite.That part of the trip was just wonderful.

Keep in mind the outside is not the best. Hotel overall great. Valet safe but could be better.

It was different room that I booked through the app. They said I booked two single rooms. They changed it to one room for us but they charged more…

Staff were very kind and helpful. Average room. Lovely cowshed bath products. Enjoyed the gym and roof top.

Great view and great room! Little coffee maker was adorable, just wish we received more than 4 coffee pods.
