Good healthy food, kind hearted and very helpful staff! If im ever in Nainital again i will stsy here
Clean
Property is in a very quiet, calm, safe place. Service and staff were very helpful and awesome.Great breakfast and dinner.
The 2 major cons are the uphill and the distance away from mall road.
We booked 2 rooms and one of the room was smaller in size and not a deluxe.
Hotel is near to mall road but you have to walk 100 mts to reach the hotel.
Views from hotel is nice, good food and staff is very supportive.
Now, when talk to rooms, if you are looking for old age room then it's fine otherwise not ok.
Very very bad. Recently visited nainital and stayed here after seeing the reviews and photos (which was taken at the initial time )Plssss dont get fooled by all these. Very dirty inside. All furnitures are very dirty with lots of stains. Bathroom taps were broken. Main door lock was very very bad condition. Carpets in the room is sooo soo dirty. Infact i shouted at the staff for not removing it or cleaning it. Inspite of paying this much not at all worthy.
Everything. It is a heel on earth. The carpets in the corridor and rooms are more than 5 decades old , stinging, full of dust & dirt.
Even if they offer the stay for free of charge I wont opt for this hotel.
Nothing
Housekeeping too bad . no facility . Even for tea no cups was Available
Breakfast was good except south Indian cuisine. they need to improve on that part. We left our cloth (jacket) in hotel. Although we had to call them multiple times (since it was time around 31st dec ) but they sent the jacket.
South Indian cuisine
Property though its heritage but not refurbished as per the guest requirement.
Even in cold heater was not working
The whole setting of the property and outer looks are nice.
The room alloted was nothing like the photos even after confirming in advance. the sheets felt used, the bed had springs coming out in the sides, the washroom had fungus on the walls and commode covers
Nothing
Staff is not good
The deluxe room given to us was very small as compared to other deluxe room. It was not upto the mark. It has interconnecting door between rooms which was very troublesome due to the noise from other room. Problem with electricity. Geyser was also not working properly and we had to get bucket of hot water. Staff was also uncooperative. Very pathetic service.

Nice heritage hotel with huge rooms with high ceilings. Very central with lake view.
Hotel is more than century old, it’s not what picture shows. For Indians visiting it’s fine for foreigners it is not up to the standards specially the bathroom. Unfortunately this is the best in Nainital.
Under the circumstances being very old the hotel needs total renovation. Service, food and certain amenities were good.
This colonial style hotel oozed faded opulence. I loved the building. I went for the cheapest room which was comfortable and clean. More expensive rooms had excellent views and sofas. The food was good, with outstanding waiter service. The location was hard to find, get your driver to ring the hotel for directions. Nainital is cold, so ask for a heater if necessary and leave your key at reception for room service. Watchout for monkeys on your windowsill. The terraced area is perfect for brunch/lunch/ tea. There is parking for your car/driver.
They will ask for prepayment deposit, it may be through text or Whatsapp or email. When sending an international payment via bank, obtain their details from the website or via whatsapp etc.. They do accept UPI payments if you can do that. NOTE your name and the hotel as a reference on your bank transfer, so they can identify it. Choose the options carefully when making the payment, I think there were 6 options ,none seemed wholly appropriate. That said, they received my deposit from England, it took around a week to filter through. All good.
Property is good , very good view in super deluxe lake view room, staff was very nice and friendly, very polite
Situated at very steep locations
Ambience and location
We ordered vegetarian food and we were served non-vegetarian food.
After that a waiter came twice to our room requesting please have something. When he came for the second time, we told him to friend rice and Manchurian.
Even after serving non vegetarian food to us who are pure vegetarians, no one was bothered and we were billed the amount for three.
