We loved the balance this stay gave us—active days out exploring followed by cozy evenings back in the room swapping stories, completely relaxed without any pressure to rush.
Close enough to amenities
Breakfast was consistently cold.
Every day had to request towels. Was told they don’t have enough and they have to wait until laundry is returned. Absolutely ridiculous having to request basic items. Cockroaches in the rooms. Mosquitoes were rampant.
Extremely noisy. Every day were busses of school kids staying the night and leaving the next day. They hire house the pool for water aerobics and swimming lessons. Sometimes there were 10 student students learning to swim impossible to use the pool. Whilst lessons are running was woken up at 6:30 am by a PA system and a group of women doing water aerobics classes
When it was time to leave, the staff found a large vehicle with enough seats and trunk space for our whole family and bags. They handled everything while we stayed inside, out of the heat.
The only positive this hotel has is that it is very cheap.
We arrived at the hotel on the evening of 15 August, having booked through Booking.com. Upon arrival, the receptionist told us they could not process the payment through Booking and that we had to pay on the spot. Frustrating, but I was tired and overwhelmed, so I accepted it. Then, as I was about to pay by card, we were told that their POS devices do not work after 11 PM and that we had to pay cash. Neither my friend nor I had enough cash, and the receptionist was unable to offer any solution. Eventually, I had to propose leaving a USD deposit before we could check in.
Unfortunately, things only got worse. The room smelled strongly of sewage, there were dead cockroaches in the bathroom, and there were dirty, used coffee cups left on the balcony. This clearly gave us the impression that the room had not been properly cleaned.
Overall, an extremely frustrating, exhausting and disgusting experience.
We really enjoyed our stay here as couple. The room was comfortable, clean, and quiet, which gave us the perfect place to relax after spending the day exploring.
We enjoyed movie nights with fast reliable wifi connection. Cuddling up together watching films in our cozy room became favorite evening activity.
Traveling alone can feel a bit awkward at first, but that feeling didn’t last long here. The place had a relaxed vibe, and I settled in quicker than I expected.
